This is my baby Ricky-John (yes, I knew she was female) She just turned up at my house one day and decided to move in! I can't imagine life without her now though. She even moved from Auckland to Melbourne with us.

Is that the cat in your icon, too, vertebraille? Cats who move countries with you - now they're special. I grew up with a lovely grey tabby we were given by my late uncle Rick, who was a vet in NZ... he came to Melbourne with us, and those were the days when cats had to spend months in quarantine... bless his soul, dear Dougie (yup, cat was called Dougie!) died at age 18, just a few months before I left home. Two decades on, I remember him fondly.

Yes thats her in my avatar. I was surprised how easy it was to bring her over, no quarantine.

All these gorgeous kitties! Lennon's beautiful, like a baby version of my beloved Merlin, and Ricky-John's such a pretty girl. I woke up with Summer on one side of me and Lightning on the other this morning - that'll teach me not to shut my bedroom door properly!

Just been organising my Pictures file and found these pics of my babies! Senior cat, Chloe: Pretty girl Molly: And my boy Jasper (in glum and not-very-bright mode): Jasper and Molly are brother and sister, not that you'd know it!

Aww Dit you have a Fusker ;D they are all very cute ;D

He's not really a Fusker! Fusker is obviously lean, mean and dangerous to know. My Jasper is a star, but he's a softy, and a bit dim (I think boycats often are when they've had their whatsits removed).

No but black and white ;D Does this whatsits thing apply to men... only they have to have them removed to make them bright? Just a thought

If that was the case, where would that leave James? (rhetorical question)

Jasper is very like my Summer, though probably much more intelligent! Here she is with Lightning (her son) on a rare occasion when she's not beating the cr*p out of him! BTW, Dit, you have my parents' carpet!

Dit and Mayfayre you have ;Dbeautiful ;D cats! Gotta' love the tuxedo Fusker lookalikes! ;D I have a tuxedo of my own. I know I've posted a picture of him on this thread before...somewhere. His name is Hamish Ravenhill. And believe it or not, here is his brother and litter mate: A red and cream tabby named Thorin Oakenshield. ;D Edit: Oooo...those are a bit big. Oops!

Aw, beautiful kitties, one and all!
Don't know about you, but my kits are real characters who (not that) I can relate to and communicate with. They all come and tell me things and respond to conversation, and Jasper can actually say "Hello" of his own accord when I come in. (No, I'm not loopy, I have witnesses!)
I can honestly say that I would have been a basket case over the last 18 months if I hadn't had them with me. Even when they drive me bonkers!

Okay, I'll introduce you to my pair. Ok, this has nothing to do with cats, but are your two cats in this photo sitting on a Whirlpool washer box? And before anyone asks why I should have any idea about this, it's my job to know. By the way, beautiful cats!! ;D ;D

It may have been, I can't remember. I have an apartment and I try to scavenge large appliance boxes because they like to lounge on them. The box was eventually thrown away and the cat tree replaced it at the end of the table there by the window.
What surprises me about these two (I adopted them as six-month-olds) is how well they get along. My cat growing up was a solitary queen who did NOT play well with others. But these two do fine. In fact, they're both here on the floor next to me, about a foot apart, waiting for me to get up and do something

*rolls in all the adorable kittums* ;D I wish I had a kitty, but they make me wheeze and sneeze. I have settled for a wee Russian Dwarf hamster named Hammond instead (who is very fierce and fewwwocious)!
Thorin Oakenshield is such a great name, DMC! If you had a Bilbo as well, I would have done a double-take! XD

Aww Chari the white one is lovely, what gorgeous eyes! Dit - my cat talks back at us too, my daughter has quite lengthy conversations with her at times, and she appears to get cross if she is kept waiting for her food for example her tone definitely changes to a more stroppy nature. (Thats the cat not my daughter...although having said that.... ;D)

Is it a coincidence that so many of us have kitty-cats? And we're drawn to a man who frankly adores his cat and has openly stated that he loves the brute? Must be some sort of psychic link going on!

I don't think he would have forgiven me either! Actually, we weren't supposed to have the tuxedo one. But the breeder asked us if we'd take him as a playmate for Thorin. Our Hamish was the runt of the litter and only got on well with his brother, Thorin. So we had to come up with another name while driving to pick them up. And little Hamish came into being. He's not so little anymore! He's 12lbs! ;D ;D
