I'm only on Twitter to snout at other people's doings (if you see what I mean). I've already changed my name twice. I have no followers, so no pressure. Some of the people I'm following tweet far too much. Twitter veterans - is there any way to see all the replies to a tweet? I can only ever see five. You don't want to repeat someone else's reply, so that's a bit of a pain. I've wondered that too I would like to see what everyone is saying.... Mainly, cos I am a nosey git! Have you tried using the 'search' bar at the top of your Twitter page? If you type @ followed by the Twitter name you should see the replies sent to that person except for their direct messages which are private.

The latest pearl of wisdom:
The rear view mirror of my car is full of things that nearly happened. My bathroom mirror is full of things that did.

The latest pearl of wisdom: The rear view mirror of my car is full of things that nearly happened. My bathroom mirror is full of things that did. Actually, I rather like that concept; the way I interpret it is that you see your whole life's experiences written on your face every time you look in the bathroom mirror. I don't imagine it's a truly original thought but, as Clarkson tweeted, it is quite profound.

I remember him saying in some article or other that every time he looked in the mirror, he saw a much older man than he expected to see. Perhaps his recent birthday is wearing on his mind?

I remember him saying in some article or other that every time he looked in the mirror, he saw a much older man than he expected to see. Perhaps his recent birthday is wearing on his mind? I imagine having a birthday with a 9 on the end may have increased that effect - I'm about to have one of those in a few days, and the thought that 'next year I will be... And how did that happen?' and going from 'Next year I will be...' to 'Next birthday I will be...' is frankly a bit wibble inducing. I am planning a full blown, Hammond-esque mid-life crisis full of ridiculous cars and unlikely trousers. James, being older, shouldn't have it quite so bad, but an impending birthday with a 0 on the end can play on one's mind a bit...

I've seen so many 0's at the end,I've given up caring. Not sure I had a mid life crisis, but it may be about to happen, I'm about to book my 'Day with an Aston Martin' birthday present.

Excellent, Eshalda! I've booked a day off-roading in a Hummer H1, and later in the year I'm planning a trip to Thruxton circuit to drive a Formula Renault single seat racing car (if I'm tall enough - they aren't sure I'll reach the pedals) and a Lamborghini. I'm hoping to save enough pennies for the Aventador ;D
I'm also hoping to fly at some point, and zorbing is also on the 'to do' list...

From a fellow oldie, in the search bar put @mrjamesmay or Jeremy's twitter handle or whomever and you get all that have tweeted to Jeremy or whomever you put. Can be a long list of bs or worthwhile witty stuff. Paula I'm @barmorris if you want to follow. I don't normally tweet except on their birthdays. Are you on twitter? I don't know all the stuff SLfriend does.
