Goodness we've never had a proper welcome/introduce yourself thread. Anyway, new or old (re)introduced yourself to the JMB. What inspired you to join and don't be shy! ;D I been lucky to meet him on several occasions. You WHAT? F*cking hell, that's.... so great!! I so f*cking envy you for meeting him!! Well, I am Natasja and I am from the Netherlands. I always thought I wouldn't like Top Gear until many months back. I forced myself to watch it together with my brother as he always watched it and really had to laugh too often to ignore the series. Now I think I'm even a bigger fan than he is... James May has been my favorite presenter from the beginning. I have tried to find the words why that is exactly, and I suppose I like him, is because he's quite old-fashioned, very intelligent and his style of humor is... well, awesome. On 25 April his newest series called "James May's Lab" aired here on Discovery Channel and since then the three episodes have been broadcast and I totally love it, even though the series is for, well, men. I am now currently down*cough*loading all that he's been i... oh wait, I have them all downloaded already! Anyway, I am now watching "James May's Toy Stories". As I am under my 30's, I haven't played with anything he's presenting, but "Lego", but I know a little about everything. It's nice to have good memories as a 40+, but it's not necessary to actually have that age, as, well, how James presents it, it's great to watch for everyone. What else to say.... Hmm, oh, I used to meet stars from movies I like to collect their autographs, but those days are far back and history, but I'd LOVE to meet James one day.... We had a TG Live here I believe a couple of years back, but I believe James wasn't there anyway sadly... Well, not sadly, as I now wouldve smashed my own head if I knew he was here, but I didnt know!

Hi Natasja/eolise and welcome! I love Man Lab too, although it took me a little while to warm to it. Such a silly show. ;D Edit: love your signature pic, by the way.

Welcome woogy and Dutch Mayniac I'm sure you'll love it here, whether you want to keep your James love to yourself (and the JMB) or shout it from the rooftops. ;D I tried to do the first, but think I've changed my style. Not concerning my JC lust though, regarding that I'm still very much in the closet... *sends self off to JC NC* (psst Mayniac, I'm dutch too! And, "sadly" James was here for TGL on Thursday, in Jan. 2010, because the dutch presenter got called away to do some urgent benefiet TV show. I didn't know, and I didn't like TG/James back then...)

I'll admit now, I often find it hard keeping up with forums and joining discussions so please bear with me when I lurk and or rarely comment. So, I'm Teresa or Tre for short. I first watched Top Gear when season 10 started in 2007. Met Richard Hammond one year later, then in April of 2010 met James May for the first time. I'm an animation geek, anime geek and Top Gear fan (obviously). Draw a lot, animate quite a bit but my software annoys the hell out of me so I do that less...I think that's it for now. Laters taters ;D

Hello everyone from the states! (the colonies as Jezza says) I'm Sacher but despite the name, am not German nor am I a torte. It's a complicated story behind this nom de plume, but suffice to say, it's mine. Just discovered the wonder that is Top Gear UK recently thanks to my dear husband (a British import from Taunton, Somerset) and, despite not being a petrolhead, found that it met my criteria for best show ever: 1. funny as hell - the chemistry between the 3 of them is perfect, 2. great stunts and challenges (I love the caravan one, the America visits [although whoever suggested they go down to Hickville USA should have taken the deep South's reputation for being inbred idiots more seriously,] the building ones, the space rocket, the mini off a ski ramp and the races), and of course, 3. A certain wild-haired, brilliant, clever, witty presenter that isn't big mouth Jezza or a hyper little Hamster. He has the patience of Job to deal with those two (cruel, but funny) b*stards, and does so with grace and aplomb. And dare I say he's handsome as well?! I am, of course, talking about our James May. And I do look forward to discourse about him with you all. Beyond this, despite my atrocious Yank accent and inability to say "aluminium" correctly, I lived in the UK for many years in the early 00s during my University days, and am currently mum to a 3 year old boy, 2 dogs, and a fish tank. When I'm not mumming, I live a double-life online as the founder and web admin for Christoph Waltz's (Inglourious B*sterds, Green Hornet, Water for Elephants, a ton of German stuff) officially-unofficial website, and have an interest in existential psychology, knitting, and ...that's about it really. (Mumming doesn't leave much time for else) Anyway, I've rabbited on long enough. Nice to meet you all, and see you around the threads! xx
