Now, what suggestions are there for what could go on that billboard?
Hi James, yes you, James May. We are the ladies of the JMB and for you, we're like Martini - Anytime, anyplace, anywhere. Singly, in pairs or as a group. Ring - and then of course it would have to be my mobile phone number!

Wow Sonic, you must live around the corner from me. I'm even in Norwich right now! It's certainly good to know I'm not the only Mayhemer in Norfolk... I'd love to see the look on his face when he sees the JMB billboard for the first time ;D It would be absolutely priceless!

(sorry for the double post, but....) BUGGER!!!!! I've just found out that on next Sunday's episode of TG, they started a challenge in NORFOLK! I can't believe it, they came to ruddy Norfolk where no-one goes and I missed probably the only chance! Apparently they went to Lotus which is incredibly close to me... and fallatyourfeet!

Great Dit ;D How about "For the attention of Mr James May AKA Captain Slow The ladies of the JMB cordially invite you to spend the afternoon in their company. All we ask is for Top Gear Tickets to be able to fulfill our side of the deal. Should you accept the invitation the ladies will happily take care of all your needs ;D I feel my mobile number should be the contact ;D Or is that too direct ;D

Brilliant Dit & Jacqui but my mobile number ought to be there as back up in case you both drop your phones into a river with excitement when James calls.

If they don't come to the remains of a certain car works in Sunday's episode then my information was wrong. I shall be watching avidly (as if I wouldn't be anyway!)
brycegold, do you seriously imagine that I would drop my phone anywhere if there was the least chance of getting a call from James? (Actually, backtrack on that, a good place to drop your phone would be down your bra, keep it safe, just waiting for it to go off - the phone, not the bra!)

James is easy to talk to on the phone, my daughters friends mother has spoken to James on several occasions and he's lovely to take the time out and do this.
The billboard idea would certainly have him speachless, only suggestion to catch his eye, would be to wear said Sloggies.... ;-) ;-) ;-)

I've just read the Radio Times preview of tonight's episode and it looks as if I was right about the "just down the road" bit. I shall be watching with interest.

Yep, they were 2 minutes from the place where I work(ed) and I never even knew it! Actually, I'm surprised that none of the kids at school told me - I had a TG screensaver on my work computer and an incredible number of them asked me about it.
I've posted on the episode thread my feelings about what happened with TVR. Suffice to say that there were several tragedies connected with that business going down. Still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Bits of the building are a fitness centre now. I can just imagine the guys appreciating that (!!!)

Believe me, if I'd known....
I've never pulled a sickie in my life but, bearing in mind that I'd promised myself that I would if I ever got that email telling me I'd got tickets for a recording - if I'd known they were literally "out of work car park, turn left, turn right" I would have suddenly developed an unexpected migraine, or bad back, or something.
Mind you, if it had been common knowledge, I reckon half the school would have skived out to watch!

Just watched a old ep on Dave, where James was racing a pigeon to Mansfield woodhouse which is 20 minuets from my house. Or 12-15 minuets by train.

BUGGER indeed. My hairdresser's hubby works for Lotus and she knows I like TG but didn't mention anything last time I saw her. Actually she has said in the past that she'd like to get her hands on James's hair. Join the queue girlie! I shall question her a length next time I see her.

James mentioned in one of his many radio interviews that they will be coming to the States. However, I sincerely doubt I'll be joining the "15 minutes away" club. More like the 15 hours (at least) club. Can't picture them coming to Maine. Oh well, that's why I live vicariously through those of you in Britain! ;D
