I think I can finally officially join this club now after seeing the US East Coast special. They were in Intercourse PA which is only about half an hour away from me. Yes, it is a real town. And to make it worse (or more funny) Intercourse PA is not too far down the road from Blue Ball PA. No, I am not joking. There is a town called Blue Ball right near Intercourse. I'm guessing if you live in Intercourse you're relaxed but if you live in Blue Ball you are perpetually frustrated. ;D

I am sure I have mentioned this somewhere else, but seeing as there is a specific thread for it...

I have missed James/TG a total of 3 times. I have either not cared/known about him at the time I had missed him/them.

Occurrence 1: I had taken a trip to London with my grandmother in August 2005 for about a week. I had no knowledge of TG or James. I instead was more interested about seeing where the Parliament building from "A Fish Called Wanda" was filmed (I had my priorities). I don't think I would've cared about TG at the time. I remember thinking that there would be things in the future that I'd want to see that were there in England, but couldn't think of what they were. I had no idea how right I was. Strike 1.

Occurrence 2: James was in Santa Ynez (which is about 20 minutes away from my hometown) at a cook-off in the beginning of August 2007 for WA. He also was literally over the mountain in Buellton. I had relocated to Reno, NV the month before. I had no knowledge of him at the time. Strike 2.

Occurrence 3: While I am still in Reno (which wants to be Las Vegas) the trio make their trek to the salt pans from SF through Reno in 2008. I was aware that there were some "car show guys" in downtown Reno and that it was a huge deal, and remember grumbling that it would be packed and that I would have to wait at least a day to get any of my errands done down there. This was probably right before I was introduced to TG by a good friend of mine. Ugh. Strike 3.


If James ever comes back to California, I am making a special trek out to go see him, whatever it takes. I am not missing him a fourth time, if I can humanly help it.

EV, that's really crap... Really sh*tty.
I missed JC when he was in A'dam (well, he drove through it to go to Norway or so) which is about 50km from me.
Also, James was in my country for one of his series once.. Ugh...
