Wonder what they were doing in Sydney? Maybe they flew out from there as they would well and truly be in or on their way to Jo'burg now.

Wonder what they were doing in Sydney? Maybe they flew out from there as they would well and truly be in or on their way to Oslo now. I have a funny feeling I know where Jezza will be next weekend if he can help it....... www.formula1.com/default.html And also there is the biggest Classic Car meet at Phillip Island paying homage to the classic cars from the Le Mans era.... If I were a man... *looks down stairs at gentlemans sausage* and I am.. and I could make it... I would be there in a heart beat!!!!!

Thanks for that, Richmondgal, I really enjoyed it! I hadn't realised that in Aus they performed in an actual stadium, where the audience sat all the way round. In the UK the "stage" is flat, in the sense that the audience sits along one side only and the screens area goes the whole length of the back of the stage. That means that the driving is subtly different - in the UK there are more screaming handbrake turns where you think they're not going to make it!

I suspect they were in Sydney as there may not be any direct flights to South Africa from Melbourne. They just did a press conference in SA. From the pictures I've seen, it is going to make the Brisbane outdoor section look like the poor country cousins. It looks like the weather is following them around.

Ooh, red shirt. The bloke on the right looks vaguely familiar... ;D Finally got around to chopping up the audio from TG Live last weekend. PM me if you want it, and I'll email it to you.

Sounds as if they are enjoying themselves tonight! Picked up from various twitters
"KellyMay and I are at an intimate gathering with... Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May, Sir Stirling Moss, Tiff Needell....AND... Jody Scheckter and Sons, Eddie Jordan, Nick Mason and his lovely wife, David Coulthard, Derek Bell. We feel very honoured!"
"I am watching Nick Mason on bongo drums. While every Tom, Dick and Arno Carstens sings Ride Sally Ride. Classic!"
And it sounds as if James is enjoying himself - tweet from Jody Sheckter's nephew/son (?) Hugo
"James May doing kareoke to 'Hey Jude!' Rather drunk lol"
also
"Left the Top Gear after party to take my sisters to bed. I can hear Jeremy Clarkson signing 'Ride Sally, Ride' from my room. lol"
I think I might keep monitoring this one!

Sounds like the people in charge did not know what they where doing, the people who's show got cancelled did they get a refund if they could not make it on one of the other days?

Sounds like the people in charge did not know what they where doing, the people who's show got cancelled did they get a refund if they could not make it on one of the other days? It all sounds a total mess, the organisers need a ticking off and those poor people deserve a refund. Where were the contigency plans in case of flood etc? ??

I agree entirely. Both Channel 9 and GO seem to repeat the same episodes over and over...there are some I'm really hanging out for but they never appear. Not to mention the ad breaks...and I'll leave it there...
