Jezza has mentioned the NTAs in his column in The Sun this weekend.
Not so natty at the NTAs
On Wednesday night I went to the National Television Awards which were held in a massive tent, east of London, just outside Copenhagen.
It was like being at the world's biggest hen night. Except, of course, Top Gear won an award for being the best factual programme.
Or was it best fatuous programme? Either way, the victory was great news. Mostly because it's so hard to pull the right face when you lose.
However, it did mean we had to go on the stage, and that was a bit embarrassing....because although I'd remembered my suit, I'd forgotten to bring my shoes. It could have been worse, though. Richard Hammond had forgotten his trousers. So there we were in a room full of 86 million people who had obviously been planning their outfits for months, on the stage, with me in some bashed-up loafers and Hammond in a suit jacket and a pair of jeans.
It was such a shame because normally we dress so stylishly.
