He is little boy trapped in a mans body. Lol Aren't all men like that ? I'm jealous that a man is aloud to be like that.

Funnily enough, I can't actually imagine him crouching down like a boy-racer and razzing it down the high street! Wouldn't it be sexy if he did though...um sorry, I drifted there for a minute..I'll just..yes well.. Wouldn't it just....drifting off as well...... Aaannyway, I don't think his back would cope with it for very long!

James has received delivery of his Honda RC30 from David Silver Spares And if it will run OK, here's a bit of video of him trying it for the first time (scroll down the page). www.facebook.com/SilverSpares?ref=stream#!/photo.php?v=205768886226713&set=vb.288952231115976&type=2&theater

The bike isn't too shabby, either.

That first one is exceptional, jm2, lovely photo (the sort that would be a good photo even if it wasn't James).
I think the second one must have been taken at David Silver?

Yes Dit, at Silvers. I cropped it quite a bit as it had a few of the staff in it. And I do love the bike one. Would love it as a poster, as I covet both the main subjects!

Found a couple of pics that I think are new to here, from earlier this year when he got his 400 four. That 400-4 is a delightful old beast. I am geekily amused by how may of the accessory components were used across the old Honda lines. I recognise several components that look awfully familiar to ones on the CB350. I've got a CB350 in my basement awaiting me being arsed to rebuild the carburetors. But a CB350 is in no way a rarity. The one I've got is in pretty good shape for a '73. It's not been abused at least. jmsquared, you'd asked in another thread about the 350 I'm working on. It's actually my husband's motorcycle, but in our household he fixes the bicycles, plumbing, and electrics, and I handle the painting and carburetors. If I were in the market for a motorbike, it would be altogether smaller. I could see myself on a CB125. I'm not a very big woman, so I wouldn't really want a lot of bike to wrestle around, plus also I am not the hugest fan of going fast, so, there you have it. We've also got a basket-case 1991 Kawasaki KLR disassembled in the workshop. Lord knows when/if that bike will ever ride again.

A 125 would suit you well. I'm seriously thinking of getting another bike. Would love a 400 four as it is a bigger brother to my old 125 (from the same era) and I love the PIPES. They are very collectable now and as such quite expensive. But maybe I would be better off with a newer one. Safer and more reliable, but not so evocative. Decisions, decisions.

I was I hammersmith earlier today and think I may have seen mr may out riding one of his bikes, not quite sure who else would be taking quite an old bike out when it was threatening to snow and has curly greying hair?

Oh dear me.... bike/stubble/jeans/look I think I know where I'm going. By the way, this page on the David Silver website has a couple of articles about James. I hadn't seen the one that begins "I'm not a spoilt tosser" before. www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/ARTICLES/

Sorry, but that radiator makes me fall off my chair too much to enjoy the rider.

The radiator on the bike, I reckon, not the central heating! It rather drew my eye, too. Good heavens I'm a nerd.

I really don't care for bikes and I'm looking at the radiator too. We're odd people.
I love how he dresses when he's not at work. No horrid trademark shirts. Re stubble: I wonder if he's like my husband and lets it grow when he's working from home and doesn't have to be at a meeting that week. I'm pretty sure if I was a man that would be my plan.

I freely admit, I hadn't noted the radiator, but it is rather amazing, isn't it? The rider, however, has caught and held my eye for some time now...and this picture is doing nothing whatsoever to lessen my obsession.....grrrr...

He's got another Honda..... From the David Silver page: "James May takes delivery of the CB750K0 French model that we have owned since the 90's. Imported from a Honda dealer in Nice, we had to do a considerable amount of re-commissioning as the bike had been stood for a very long time. It now looks and runs great and will be a great addition to his Honda collection."

Aside from Mr. May's fantastic hair, scruff, and motorbike, I am drawn to that 2CV in the background. I'm just avid to have a go at driving one of those little oddballs someday!
