Is that a Jensen Interceptor? They are beautiful looking things In my youth I was a big Slade fan and remember Dave Hill, the lead guitarist, buying one.

Yep, it's an Interceptor. I recognised it because many, many moons ago my late husband and I had a Jensen 541, which was one of the predecessors to the Interceptor - I hasten to add that it was very old! We had to sell it cos we couldn't afford to run it!

Rowan!!! I can't wait to see this episode. Might I say I love the way James (and the English in general maybe?) pronounces "Nissan". We pronounce it more like "Nissen". Just funny hearing it when it's not what I'm used to.

I may or may not have studied Japanese for several years at one point in time.

I'll do welsh... 'Niss-an' very much how you spell it. Mine wasn't a very interesting contribution to the pronunciation list! And maybe it's just me that says it like that.

I've never set foot in the UK but I sure would like to preferably immediately. I guess a couple hundred years ago Wales is where part of my husband's family immigrated from.

Some are un-kind and say Wales is boring, and grey and wet. And it is grey and wet sometimes, but let me tell you: it rains here, but when I was in London the other week it rained there- and I've never seen rain like that in Wales. Wales is quiet mostly, except for the big cities, but its nice. Lots of interesting little villages, and history.

I'm probably stirring up a hornet's nest (so feel free to ignore) but what is up with all the jokes about Wales and the Welsh? Granted, I only know what I see on TV but I don't get it. Wales looks beautiful and the people seem very kind (yes I know, quite a broad brush).

Wales looks beautiful and the people seem very kind (yes I know, quite a broad brush). I don't know to be honest.I think a lot of it is to do with the language, and the heritage. Some people make jokes that Wales is decades behind England, and things. Its silly. There's also snobbery about language from both sides of the border. Which is sad. People don't complain when French people speak french, but some people have a problem with Welsh people speaking welsh in their own environment, even if the person complaining isn't even involved in the conversation. Then there's the welsh people who refuse to speak english to people who cant speak welsh- which is plain rude- and doesn't help us Welshies at all. (edit- realised that last sentence could be read in two different ways- I mean the welsh person refusing to speak english is the rude one, not the englishman not speaking welsh!) Have we gone off topic or are we allowed? James May is wonderful isn't he... he and Oz went through my parts, well, not quite... but that gets us onto wales doesn't it!

I think they went across the A55, to Holyhead- to catch the ferry to Ireland. We use a section of the A55 everyday to get from our little village to some shops!! Holyhead isn't far from us, about 25 minutes. Hammond is the one sent over here usually, he was in Anglsea in the Apocalypse dvd, and in one of the TG episodes, driving back and forth on a section of the A55... and over the Denbigh Moores. I've never seen them around though, unfortunately. Does anyone else get excited when you see three similar cars, next to eachtoher? Anytime I see three of anything moving together I check to see if it's TG, it never is!

It is an great way to spend an afternoon ;D even if it does pi** with rain There is an excellent film on Jensen Interceprtors, the guys make their own introduction to a spoof 60/70's detective series.... I laughed my head off all the way through it, then i came to the conclusion James looked like Des Lynham... tell me i'm wrong on sunday...bet you don't!!! Sorry James STIRPC was Bob Geldof, great guy, done a lot of good work but lordy he went on and on... be interesting to see the trimmed down version Jezza and the formula 1 lotus was a very entertaining piece, great viewing. Then its boys with toys time, very funny, slapstick involving tanks.... hilarious - IMHO!!! During the break my daughter mananged to pin Jeremy down, not literally...well not quite!! James was gracious as always..... thank you I'll post some pics on the members photo thread. ;D
