Ok, question... I'll be wearing the Tevas in the following picture when I'm on holiday. Which shade of polish goes better? At first I was sold on the blue, but the pearlescent purple has been growing on me over the past few days. Decisions! Decisions! I am not packing nail polish and remover, so what's on when I leave will be it. ;D

This panel is being put on by British Media Track, so if American Top Gear is there, murders will ensue. I heard that Richard and his family are in the States. What are the chances? ? ;D ;D ;D ;D Apparently when I register at the Con, I'll get all the particulars about panel guests. * fingers crossed*

I found out yesterday that the modem Verizon told me would work in Europe won't. The young lady sold me the wrong one and it wasn't a "Verizon" store. It has Verizon all over it but it's like a sub contractor. We have a call center here in town and luckily I got a resident who told me if they don't rectify the matter Verizon will. I'm sorry to rant, but if I had gotten over there and not been able to use a secure modem, for bank stuff, etc, I would have been royally pissed. Friday our call center will tell me what to do. I'm glad I didn't wait until a week before I go as they suggested!
On another note, Richard hasn't posted for about 5 days, maybe he is going to Atlanta.
Maybe Cross Keys is a franchise and there are several in the UK!

I'm still in Atlanta at the moment. We're goin to spend the night here and head off to FL tomorrow. Today we went into the city and saw the Margaret Mitchel house ( the apartment where she wrote Gone With the Wind) then we went to the aquarium. It is the biggest aquarium in the world and they had three whale sharks there. Then we went and saw the Coca Cola museum. The coolest part was trying coke products from around the world. Some of them were just awful. It was a good day even though I have been feeling a bit under the weather.

I was on a 'plane last night heading the other way, home that is. Had a fantastic holiday, very hot all the time, lots of good company, fantastic food etc. I really didn't want to come home to face reality, and all the washing. i am now going to catch up with what I've missed on the JMB while I've been away.

Pie has just had what seems to have been an enjoyable afternoon/evening here in Blackpool. When she said on the JMB that she was planning to see Blackpool Illuminations switched on I thought it was only good manners(!) to invite her to meet up, so we had a wander around the town and Promenade, and went on the beach, something I haven't actually done for a fair while (even though I miss being near the sea when I'm away from it).
We had fish 'n' chips at a prizewinning chippy, then went back to the Prom to wait for the Lights to be switched on, which caused a "Wooo!" and a round of applause from the assembled multitudes. The Tower has been done up, and the light patterns on the top are very impressive. Then we drove (very slowly) along most of the length before she set off back to her hotel in Derbyshire.
It was really good to meet another Mayhemer, especially one from the other end of the world, and I hope Pie enjoyed chatting to someone with an interest in James and a good working knowledge of driving in Blackpool! Enjoy the rest of your stop in the UK, Pie!
