Saw The Hobbit yesterday.
Three and a half hours of my life that I won't get back.
Note to Peter Jackson: three films is at least one film too many.

Had a bit of a Bond marathon this weekend Thunderball - takes forever to get going and most of it's underwater . Goldeneye - one of Brosnan's best. Skyfall - fantastic film . quite possibly my favourite of all time. The World Is not enough- The best of the Brosnan era Never Say Never Again - i don't even know where to start with that one . Moonraker - underrated Quantum Of Solace - good but not great Die another day- Perfectly watchable after a few beers On Her Majesty's Secret Service- by far the saddest bond film ever made Licence To Kill - does a fine job of introducing a new bond The Living Daylights - another good film . timothy Dalton was the daniel craig of his day. A View To A Kill - Even Roger Moore Didn't like it

I saw The Hobbit on Friday and thought it was great. The time flew by. I've seen the mixed reviews. I particularly like Richard Armitage as Thorin.

Pedant alert! These two were the other way round. Dalton's first film was Living Daylights. I agree he had the same effect as Daniel Craig. A Bond with a bit of gravitas following a flippant one
It's a pity he's not remembered more fondly, but he only did the two films before commercial problems halted production. Apparently, Goldeneye was written for him but there was such a long gap before the film went into production that he quit the role.

We went to see "a good day to die hard" yesterday for our valentine :-) It was a good movie & Bruce is still looking good. I love his smile.
