What talented people! I have never looked in this thread before (lack of time generally but I had lots today!) and I am very very impressed. I used to draw and started Art A level many years ago at Night School but had to give it up. I wasn't as good as any of you lot though.
Very varied styles - and you are all excellent at drawing - the sign of a good artist.

Your embroidery is beautiful, Antonia! I don't know very many people who do this quality of work anymore. It's so simple, yet so elegant at the same time. My mom used to do long stitch when my sister and I were little but stopped several years ago.

This is what Ive been working on these days. It's a cat from someone on this board. I dont know if she is okay with me telling it's her cat, so therefore I won't mention who she is. I dont know, maybe you already know who's cat it is ;D

Thankyou, Jm²..... I thought it was a weird picture that my friend sent, but it was the last picture he had taken before his dad died, so I understand why he asked me to draw it. Morgan, I LOVE your pictures!!! Very unique, the pics with the lego bricks in milk! ;D

I think I had someone (DMC?) request this, but it's the seashell ceramic tile I made at my ceramics studio awhile back. I haven't gone lately, they were closed a few times due to weather and recently due to Thanksgiving here. I've still got a bowl that needs to be worked on, hope I'm up for going this week. I rather like it, for what was a practice piece to start with. Parts of it I would have done differently in hindsight but on the whole, I like it. Not sure if I want to put it up on the wall anywhere though. It is rather heavy.

I love that Meim I'm crap at ceramics.(I used to work in Spode putting handles on cups I think mine kept the seconds market going). I like the colours on it very summery. The weather was really really gross when I started that and I think some other family drama had cropped up when I was glazing it. I've noticed I definitely seem to make my artwork a lot brighter and more colorful than the immediate world I live in. And thanks!

I like it that there's always a ton of new stuff in this thread when I finally log back in. Your all so very talanted, and Nat, I ADORE your portrait of our lady Devil's cat<3 My portrait is not the same standard of quality as Nat's, but I did give it a bash. I haven't done a proper piece like this since our life classes at college, which is almost two years ago now. This is painted on fabric, and is of a young, smiling Morrissey.

There are so many talented people on this board.

Not sure if I want to put it up on the wall anywhere though. It is rather heavy. It is substantial looking but the colors and the placement of the shells really make the background pop. I am not versed in the pottery lingo but did you do the large piece first and then put on the shell and bake it all together or separately first? We should have a JMB art show somewhere. I keep trying to win the millions to no avail.

Meim I've not been working as hard as you, but I am bruised from top to bottom, so I haven't had time to comment on anything but the quick replies. I fell off a ladder. I think subbing is my best bet.Being broken and beaten is not worth 7.75 hour.
