Meim I've not been working as hard as you, but I am bruised from top to bottom, so I haven't had time to comment on anything but the quick replies. I fell off a ladder. I think subbing is my best bet.Being broken and beaten is not worth 7.75 hour. Been there and done that and AMEN. I get $9 at the toy store but Michael's is paying me minimum wage. I haven't fallen off a ladder yet, which is a miracle since I'm barely lucid at work anymore, but I get my feet run over several times a day by carts or U-boats and I walked into a peg board a few weeks ago....thank goodness we weren't open or I might've gotten in trouble for all the F-Bombs I dropped. I'd seriously consider getting my education certification if teachers weren't taking it in the teeth and getting laid off right and left at the moment. I was a TA in college and I was a lot better at that than at research. I think I had someone (DMC?) request this, but it's the seashell ceramic tile I made at my ceramics studio awhile back. I haven't gone lately, they were closed a few times due to weather and recently due to Thanksgiving here. I've still got a bowl that needs to be worked on, hope I'm up for going this week. I rather like it, for what was a practice piece to start with. Parts of it I would have done differently in hindsight but on the whole, I like it. Not sure if I want to put it up on the wall anywhere though. It is rather heavy. It is substantial looking but the colors and the placement of the shells really make the background pop. I am not versed in the pottery lingo but did you do the large piece first and then put on the shell and bake it all together or separately first? We should have a JMB art show somewhere. I keep trying to win the millions to no avail. I made the base first then made the shells and arranged them on it-they're stuck on though, it's all one piece. Then I glazed it, and I'm actually not as happy with the glaze as a few people here seem to be, but overall I'm pleased with how the piece turned out. Kind of makes me feel like I'm somewhere tropical, and it's fricking freezing outside right now.

Posted this accidently in my thread in the Fan Art topic, so will do it here as well "wow... Just wow.... My mother had a funeral. Gran's OH passed away last week. He was a writer and has published quite some books. Anyway, when my mother and gran arrived in the aula/centre building, she saw that the painting Id made for gran's OH was standing before the coffin. I. Was. Being. Mentioned. When. The. Man's. Son. Was. Speaking. He thanked me. And he said he's gotten quite attached to it (yea, right, he hardly saw his father, but that's not the point. After it was done, loads of people came to my mother and they all wanted mother to give me their compliment. Loads of strangers. So cool, I would have died if I had been there though. 80 people. Lol"

That is a really great painting, Nat. I can see why they are fighting over it. Thenonsensefairy sent me a handmade Christmas/New Year gift that I just have to share. It's a seed packet pouch and several packets of seeds. With a special addition! ;D ;D Can't wait to grow my own James may!! ;D ;D She also painted me this wonderful picture of Alice and the flowers! without the watermarks of course Definitely go visit twinkleandgloom.com. Some absolutely marvelous work!! ;D ;D

Thenonsensefairy has such a cool sense of creativity. Maybe she should design James a shirt. I'd like to see that.

Working on this for someone on this board. I finished Iron Man, now still have to draw the character's head next to it.
