antonia. Ok, stupid question. Have you ever designed any tattoos? I think your work would translate well.

adrianmay: I haven't ever designed tattoo's but if anybody would like one doing I'll have a go. I know I said I wasn't going to post again for a while but I began to sketch out James today and I finally think I've mastered his gob,at least I hope so because he was becoming my drawing nemisis. So my final attempt at James i1213.photobucket.com/albums/cc473/piggymonkey/SAM_0127.jpgafter this I've been asked to draw some pics of a ballet dancers for a friends studio.I've also ahave a penchant for angels at the moment. Also a lot of embroidery for xmas pressies. I like that James. Very good. Awesome shirt! How funny you're doing ballet dancers. I'm sure my daughter would have opinions. Look out when you do your drawings. Classical ballet dancers will pick apart a drawing if the foot or leg isn't turned out just right or the hand is in the wrong position. Sorry, but it's true. Good luck. I so appreciate hand embroidery. Now that even home machines can do it, I don't know if people get the skill and time involved.

I think an evening at the pottery studio was a good thing. Had fun, even though my friend ditched me. She got sick, but kinda forgot to call me and let me know before I got there. Ah well. She owes me a few drinks now. I'll post pictures when it's finished and I've brought it home. Sorry adrianmay, I did not make the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Maybe next time, except I'm thinking a bowl or vase next time.

Oh Antonia! The drawings came out just lovely! Swan Lake is it? The body and the hands on the first are just beautiful. The tutu on the second looks like a lovely rose and the detail on the feathers in the third is fantastic. You’ve outdone yourself. Terrific.
Oh, a sneak-peek at my gift! I feel honored. Thank you, Antonia.

Gorgeous art, everyone. You're all so talented! ;D Nat, your beanie is so awesome. I love it!! I figure it is time for me to contribute some of my art that I have done over the years...some is TG related, some isn't. I will do a "real" drawing of James sometime soon once I find a picture that I really like enough to draw. All of the cartoons (ones with foxes) are done with mechanical pencils, and the other art is done with actual art pencils, stomps, colored pencils, etc. Here is a sampling of some of my art (I have done tons more, but this is the best, I believe): i1179.photobucket.com/albums/x390/Elervim/haveaplush.jpgThe TG3 are supposed to be plushies (like little huggable dolls you sleep with), and the bottle of wine that says "noble goat" is supposed to reference James May. Sorry if you can't read it; my penmanship is atrocious. i1179.photobucket.com/albums/x390/Elervim/VegetaandBulma.jpgVegeta and Bulma from the Japanese anime Dragonball Z. Done in college. i1179.photobucket.com/albums/x390/Elervim/TenouHaruka7-10-00.jpgTenou Haruka from the Japanese anime Sailor Moon. Also done in college. i1179.photobucket.com/albums/x390/Elervim/BobCranedrawing.jpgBob Crane from the tv show Hogan's Heroes. One of the best sketches (I believe) I have ever done of anyone, ever. i1179.photobucket.com/albums/x390/Elervim/Grandthefttopgear.jpgThe title should been called Top Gear Kart (b/c it was more appropriate, considering the subject matter), but Grand Theft Top Gear sounded better at the time I was drawing it. First cartoon I did of the TG3 this past January, 3 days after James's birthday. i1179.photobucket.com/albums/x390/Elervim/betterfaster.jpgI really dislike how Jeremy looks in this and Richard looks like a drag queen for some reason. I actually really like how James looks, which is the only reason I posted it. I for some reason have a really hard time drawing Jezza's hair. It doesn't want to cooperate with me.

Thank you for your positive replies, everyone!! It means a lot to me. I've been tempted to send some anime foxes to James once I draw a realistic one of him and request an autograph back (and then I can tell him "see? Now you really are a fox!"). I've been thinking of sending him the Grand Theft Top Gear one and I have another one I plan on drawing soon that will reference all of his tv specials in some way (it will murder my hand in the process, but oh well. ;D) It'll be worth it. Again, thank you!!

There's some more great work here, great stuff everyone. Here's one of my latest drawings- it was a one line 5 minute drawing challenge I set myself. So the whole thing is one continuos line (although i did have to lift it to get more ink) Here's a 'painting' on fabric (The face is a photo transfered onto fabric of a victorian child)

The shop is up and running now, although it's a little bare. The problems where putting me off making things... but it's all up now. So I'm making stock for the shop and adding things as I go.

That's beautiful antonia. It just occurred to me that I haven't done anything artistic in awhile. Then I remembered why. Hope to get my ceramics piece from the studio soon, so I can see how that turned out. I'll post some pictures if it doesn't look too horrible.
