Thanks Vix Still worried for him. If it gets really bad I'm going to speak to my tutors and get a week out. Don't really care what it does for my grade, just don't want him to be alone. You're a good friend Korri, he's lucky to have you

I'm sorry to hear about that, Ly. Were you using Curry's website? Husband and I tried that last month and it gave us the same trouble you got from today. Death to all websites that don't let you complete your online orders.

It seems to work well with some things (travel), but not others (appliances and hardware).

I hate to say it, but you'd be better off going to Curry's in person and ordering from them while you're visiting. That's what we ended up doing. They gave us a good deal and free delivery and recycling of the old material being replaced. If you do, let me know how it goes. Hopefully all goes well.

Y'know what? I'm sick of my bank. I've gone online to set up an ONLINE banking account. and it wouldn't let me, so I had to call them. They then told me that my security questions were wrong. WHICH THEY'RE NOT! Then they told me that I had to go into the bank and take in two sets of ID. FOR A SODDING ONLINE BANKING ACCOUNT! I'm so utterably pee'd off at the stoopid bank now....

Just watched the Season 2 Final of "Life" (anyone else watch this show? It has Damian Lewis in it..?) and I am still speechless at how good it was. Truly amazing episode.
Rant is small though: it looks like it won't be picked up for a 3rd season. GAAAAH! AMERICAN TELEVISION NETWORKS - YOU ARE HOPELESS.

Hopefully it won't be too much of a problem if your tutor has seen it. If it's something you're known for, then keep going, and with any luck, she'll stop in the end. But I do know how annoying it is. I do 'art' myself, of a kind (I customise toys to make them look completely different to how they originally looked LOL). There are a whole bunch of people that do this, and on one internet site I use, there is a whole section dedicated to 'OMG, X copied me and you know she did!' stuff. And this is just over toys......but all creation is personal, and I remember seeing once how somebody had tried to emulate something that I'm known for in that community. Ad it made me laugh....because it had been done so badly.

Your craft sounds really interesting What kind of toys do you customize? *whispers* My Little Ponies. This is one of the ones that I'm most proud of - Baby Bumblebuzz is completely covered with strung beads. The beading is the style that I've seen copied (badly) before now, and it takes FOREVER to do. The picture's a bit small - I hate Photobucket at the moment

Thats gorgeous You really must be proud once they're done specially this one... Id have lost patience with the beads! I love it ^_^ It's nice that you recycle something so popular, and make something so unique out of them

I must apologise in advance because this might go on a bit!!!!!
What is it about Thursday nights that makes people toddle into the library and abuse the staff therein? It was a Thursday night that brought a golf club brandishing thug in to delight us all with his demented threats. Another Thursday brought a drug-fueled teenager, who suggested that I would be easier on the eye if he stamped all over my face ( and then the other members of staff too). Tonight brought a malodorous chauvinist to verbally abuse my friend and colleague. So upset was she, that she had to be sent home, still in tears, two hours later. I am so incensed by the injustice of it! I want to shoot him!! And it's put me right off my dinner!!!
I have written an emotionally charged letter of complaint to my superiors since they do absolutely nothing to protect us from these nutters!I'll probably get the sack!
We need a Thursday night bouncer!
Any takers?

*puts up hand* I don't know if this still applies, but isn't Thursday the day benefits are paid, it would explain the drug-fueled loonies? I noticed an increase of drug activity near me today!

Oddly, neither had I till you mentioned what day of the week it was!... My office overlooks an alley at the back, and there was a flurry of obvious drug dealing there today!

*hands over pointy stick* ;D Drug dealing day seems to be a Friday here. I was waiting in the car park outside the gym last night, and there was an obvious drug deal happening, right underneath the CCTV cam!

Why is it that when you think someone is out of your life for good, they then return at the most awkward of times

*screams* The Senior Partner here has left one solicitor without a secretary after she left through natural causes... he now thinks the rest of the secretarial staff have infinite capacity to take on the extra typing... problem is, he will protect his own secretary from the extra work, because his work needs to get done, but I'm fair game, despite having urgent work for the solicitor I work for! He won't get in another secretary, owing to budget cutbacks, but doesn't seem to realise that by doing that, it's at the sacrifice of customer service and the remaining staffs' sanity!
