Thanks. I won't be doing anything because when I move I want to move without any kind of complaint being registered. It is the daughter who is the problem - when she isn't here it is like paradise but when she is it is like hell. She is a very sad loser and she is making what is a very nice street seem like a white trash trailer park.

I know what you mean it only takes one family the house next to mine was let to a family who smash it up and sat drinking on the street. there gone now. ;D Then there are some house's where the garden's backed on to our street. Well one day this landlord put this family in there that had been kicked put of there council house and the father and son had been given Asbo's you can guess the trouble we had. Happy to say it cost the landlord a lot of money in damages ;D

There are some people who really should take a long hard look in the mirror and see that actually they are an exact replica of the people they are accusing and having a go at Two-faced people usually find that life back fires on them, I will just sit back and wait

Yep. At least I know myself pretty well, I know I am not perfect but when I criticise people, I make sure I haven't done it, whatever it was, myself, that would just be hypocritical. It's usually politicians on the telly that get me gobbing off at it!

*screams* Two riders were shot at with air guns during today's Tour de France stage... I'm stunned, shocked, and appalled... these scum are beneath my contempt

Tui - Hope you find some calm soon. Liz - That's awful!! Are there not any police around to monitor things?

Thanks UM... there are police/marshalls dealing with crowd control, but I guess the unexpected is harder to deal with. Just another very nasty example of the decline in moral standards... scum acting without any thought for the consequences

Two riders, one in the hand, the other in the thigh, not exactly life-threatening, but had a crash ensued, and at a more dangerous part of the course, who knows? Sorry if I sound a little 'touchy', but having almost suffered at the hands of a couple of 'little darlings' who threw a chunk of wood in front of a train I was travelling on, and a friend who died when another threw a car battery off a motorway bridge for 'fun', and through his windscreen, this sort of thing kinda upsets me

I can see why it would upset you - and even if not for personal experience, it would still be shocking. Why shoot a sportsman (or indeed anybody) who is just going about their business? I had a glass bottle thrown at me once from a moving car as I was cycling home from work - and my mum once saw a young lad come off of his bike as she was cycling behind him, who had been knocked off by a long length of wire that had been strung across the cycleway. Luckily he was only slightly hurt, but it was a downhill stretch of path - if he'd been going really fast, he could have cut his neck right open, or maybe much worse Some people are just mindless.

Oh Liz, I am so sorry to hear that. It so sad. And what gets to me is that the people who do things like that just don't care. That can sometimes be more hurtful.

Daisy - That's awful!! The police should use that wire to string up the yobbos who do things like that, see how they like it!!
I was on a school bus coming home years ago, I was about 15 at the time and, as you may all know, the troubles were still rife in some aspects and the school bus had to go past a Catholic area and the bus was 'stoned', one of the stones came through the window and showered glass into the bus, two people got it in their hair and I had to get a piece of it taken out of my leg.

Thats awful. I remember last year i was on a bus that had it window open because of the weather and these kids throw a bottle that was not empty and it went though the window and hit a little lad that was no older than 5 years old. I know it's not has serious has a brick but the poor little lad was coved in pop and was crying his eyes out.

*hugs* back to all of you... I know we've raised this topic before, and I don't want to elaborate, but I simply can't grasp what goes through the mind of these people, surely they MUST know they could cause death in the worst case scenario? Sorry, rant over, thanks for bearing with me

ulstermayniac i just felt so sorry for the little lad. This is what miss about the pits being shut because most people worked together they kept there kids under control because it would be a bit embarrassing to turn up to work after your kid had smash someones windows in.

A few years ago we were on a canal holiday. Our barge was slowly drifting along a particularly beautiful part of the Stratford and Avon canal when, from out of the woodland, we were shot at with air pistols. I expect whoever did it thought they were having a bit of 'fun,' but it scared us a lot.

I passed out at work today. It was a diabetic fit, but for no reason that I can honestly see - I'd eaten plenty of food this morning. Anyway, I passed out. In front of many customers, for it was verily busy, and now I feel very stupid

Don't feel stupid. It happens. It isn't something bad or ridiculous and I'm sure no one thinks that. Hope you are OK.
