I've only looked on MSN, and it's a case of who do you believe? MSN says rain, GMTV said sunny with showers!

I'm meant to be going to a motor show this weekend (not a fancy one, it's sponsored by Skoda LOL) and I'd like it not to rain, if possible. TOH might be making a final choice on which new car to buy, so NO RAIN PLS.

I haven't ranted and raved about the gas men yet, but I'm working up to it. If they fail to mend the bit in the boiler that they have been promising to do for the last three days - yes they have made three daily visits with three wrong parts, I'm going to vent my full fury.

Oh, why can't I be more laid back about the things that wind me up? Because I just can't. And people getting names wrong is still the most annoying thing in the world, whether people, places or things. Grr!

Names annoy me too... I had a neighbour who lived next door for 8 years, and even to the end she used to call me Lyn, even tho' she got a xmas card off us every year And one year her card was addressed to 'hubby and family'

I worked with a woman for 4 years who called me 'Janet'. Nothing wrong with the name.....except it wasn't mine People tend to add an 's' to the end of my surname too. I'm sick of telling them I'm no relation to Mike and Bernie

*nods* I get fed up of having to announce myself as 'Sarah-with-an-H'. Sara and Sarah are two different names, and are even pronounced differently, but the amount of people who don't give me my H *growls* It is very annoying. *pats Wy on the back* I know how you feel.

I want to rant about the weather! I've spent all day, digging, shovelling earth around, and watering in, and NOW it decides it's going to rain, just when the watering was done and I was going to bung a load of washing on, as my hands are now earth free. Unimpressed.

Some muppet tried to steal my bag today When my dad went to get the car, this idiot grabbed hold of the Primark bag as he ran past and tried to swipe it. But I grabbed hold of his arm and punched him square in the face. Dunno if I broke his nose or just burst it open but the blood sorta spewed everywhere and then he ran away ;D Ripped open my Primark bag though

My mother is the one they get to throw people out of the welfare when they are being a pain so you can guess who won when someone tried to mug her ;D Sorry about your bag though.

Well done Manny. I know they discourage us all to have a go, but sometimes I think if more of us did, then we wouldn't have so many problems. I also think if the police could clip people around the ear we wouldn't either, but that might just be me.

The heat nearly made me melt today when i went into town. Also the heat is making it hard for me to sleep at night. I am blaming middle England if they had not gone and put a roof on Wimbledon and stop driving there kids to school in 4x4 it would have rained by now and cleared the air

*screams at computer* Darn stupid, idiotic government system!!!! It says that you have to send away for your provisional 2 months before your 17th. It's now 2 months before but when I tried to fill out the information, it now says it has to be 2 months, exactly. So I have to wait another 2 days!!, 2 silly days!

I really would like peoples opinion on this. My neighbour, who i have spoken of many a time on here, is sitting outside on the street with a friend drinking a bottle of wine and allowing her two large dogs which are loose to roam over my property, and sit on my grass. And so I have signalled to her to get them off, and she seems to think that I am being a bit uptight. Am I? I would like to know. Is this normal behaviour. Should people do this on a public highway and is tresspass actually no longer illegal?

Trespass isn't criminal under UK law and in most cases never has been, but falls under civil law, and even a civil case is likely to fail if no damage is caused. There are exceptions for things like aggravated trespass, trespass on railway property and trespass with intent to reside (for the purpose of squatting) but I don't think any of those apply. As trespass in itself is not a criminal activity, signs like 'Trespassers will be Prosecuted' have no standing in law - a civil case is one that is not prosecutable.
However, there are laws and bylaws that govern drinking in the streets, the control of dogs and general anti-social behaviour. You would almost certainly be able to bring a complaint under those. Also, if your neighbours dogs cause any damage to your property, you may have a case under civil or criminal law.
And no, I don't think you're being uptight. I think your neighbour needs a visit from either the council anti-nuisance people or a friendly rozzer.
Or better yet, a kick up the arse.

I do not know the law but you are not being uptight. If people want a drink drink in your home. If our dog got on to next doors garden we would say sorry and get the dog off there property.

I remember you talking about your neighbour before, Ly. As Wyvern says there are bylaws about drinking in the street, and also about dogs being in proper control. I think cats are the only animals that have the right to roam. You could try reporting them to the council, but in my experience most councils, pussyfoot around, wanting documented, and photographic evidence and witness statements etc.
