AHH What does a person have to do to get a permanent Job. The job that i had as finished and i don't think i have ever been so down i am 27 and never had a job where i was classed has permanent i would love to get a job where your bank holidays were paid. My dad place has just laid a load of people off and replaced them with agency staff and i know there not the only place to do it. I used to think the girls in my year who got pregnant were stupid but now i beginning to think they where the smart ones.

Stupid idiotic bosses who turn on the bully boy tactics to make you do rounds when you've explained that you need to finish on time. You know the ones, they snap at you and tell you if you can't finish on time you're not fast/good enough blah blah, just to make you do it. D**k heads basically.

Tis hard to find a decent job with decent hours right now. Luckily lots of peeps at my *ahem* place of work are taking holidays so I'm getting some extra shifts in, but on normal time, I'm working exactly 4 hours per week Plus we might not be opening on Sundays any more, so there go my Sunday shifts.

I was talking to the man at the job center about how all jobs seems to be going part time. He said they do it because they don't have to pay has much tax and as much holiday pay. At my last job was supposed to be 9-1 but i was doing 8-4 but if i had a holiday they only pay you for 4hrs.

*nods* Tell me about it...apparently, I don't work enough hours to get holiday pay And that's my fault, is it? I'd LOVE to work some more hours

Personnely I wouldn't walk out of a job as I took this job to avoid the dole, and yes my hours are part time too, the overtime is good at topping my wage up,but when you do a stand in at another depot and they get at you for working over ( when it is not your fault I might add) it is a knock to your confidence, personnely I seem to be waiting for the management at my regular depot to get on at me, which is a slight worry as I really don't need the hassle. Does this make sense?

Oh yes, I think we have all met the inconciderate elephant next door at some point in our lives. Please feel free to go and vent your anger/punishment in any way you feel appropriate. If I were sitting in the judges chair, 'not guilty' is my judgement. You can be prosecuted for noise nuisance, but I think it has to be prolonged and sustained over a period of time. How about punishment for anti social behaviour?

Does anyone else think it is unreasonable to start loading your car with rubbish for the tip at 6 a.m.? In a similar vein - the eejit that decided to start cutting their lawn at 8am on Sunday morning Those of us that have to earn a living Monday to Saturday appreciate a bit of a lie - in on the Sabbath

Ah, I had one of them one Saturday Inky. 7.40 a.m. across the road from me. Now the neighbours next door have their two hell hounds here. As you say, for those of us who work all week a bit of peace and quiet is all we ask for. For those of us who sit in the house smoking and drinking and not working all day, every day is bloody Sunday. Aaargh. ;D

People who repeatedly misspell names even when they are written down in full on the letter, email or forum post they are responding to. I know that my surname is unusual, for example, but it's just BLOODY RUDE to repeatedly get someone's name wrong, and especially when you have it right in front of you

What exactly is hard to spell about your surname though? (Easy for me to say, it reminds me of a certain place, but still!)

A-E's is the only family in the country that spells it with an 'e' on the end, and it can be spelled with an a, e or i in the middle

That never occured to me. I always assumed it was an 'o'.....

Ah, I was half asleep when I read this last night - you're thinking of my maiden name, which I would have thought was pretty easy to spell. And people have got that spectacularly wrong too (including the whole 'certain place' thing).

Yeah, my husband's surname is easy to misspell if you're only hearing it, since it doesn't look anything like it sounds. And when someone tries to pronounce it while reading it, they usually get it wrong too. ;D My maiden name is easy to spell, but I've had people get my first name wrong alot. It's not spelt with an o, it's au. At least, that's how you spell mine, anyway.

I'm blessed with two names (first and surname) that can be spelled in multiple ways. I've started announcing myself as 'Sarah-with-an-H' when somebody needs to take my name over the phone ;D

My middle name can be spelled 2 ways and the way it is spelled for me is the less common way.

You should try my last name! If people can spell it, they can't say it, and if they can say it, they can't spell it. It's not French, and there's no C... And if by some miracle they can spell and say it, then they can't spell my first name! It took the woman at the signing at Canary Wharf 3 attempts to spell my first name, and then when I got home I realised she'd still spelt it wrong!
