I wonder where they'll go/what they'll do for this year's Christmas special? May be I should tweet all three of them / email someone and say I strongly think they should come here to Qatar and so some kind of desert "thing"..... we do have a sand dune here in called the Wall of Death..... they should be able to do something silly with that I'm sure?!

Perhaps she has spare tents?
Mind you, I suspect James might not be in a hurry to be filming around sand dunes - remember what happened last time?

A bit more info
Despite Jeremy's comments, the show's executive producer Andy Wilman insisted the programme will be back eventually, but admitted he is unhappy that the next series has been delayed. He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ''Jeremy has done a tweet and people think we are off air - it is b*****ks. I wanted to go earlier, but the BBC wanted to go January and February. Sunday nights have changed, now it's a bun fight. ''So I lost that argument. We are starting to make a new series in a couple of months. The plan is always two a year. We will get on in January and then get one out for the summer. No one's putting their feet up yet.'' Andy also revealed there are plans to work on individual spin-off shows with the three presenters.
Also
The hosts of the car show are expected to work on some individual projects in the meantime, including a special on the cars James Bond has driven over the past 50 years.

Joining the queue. (By the way, I don't mind where I sleep, as long as it doesn't involve being too close to a camel.)

Comes home to find lovely ladies of the JMB having formed an orderly queue out side house ;D Don't worry Dit you wouldn't be any where near a camel, however in our house you are likely to have a very soppy affectionate Dalmatian trying to snuggle up to you! Right.... I guess I better get writing to TG to suggest Qatar as the destination to be then eh?

This could be good. Obviously they all three love their cars, but TG has a format to stick to. If they have their own separate shows, and can input their own ideas and interests into them, that could make for some good viewing. Maybe they should make it into a contest to see which of their individual shows gets the most views ;D

James just confirmed that the boys are back in January \o/
Still no word on whether we're getting a Christmas special though - Jeremy's 'no new Top Gear this year' tweet did sound rather final on the matter...

Clarkson is an unreliable source, especially on Twitter - keeps contradicting himself.
He originally said "apart from a couple of Christmas specials" no Top Gear until next year, so it's fifty-fifty really.

He originally said "apart from a couple of Christmas specials" no Top Gear until next year, so it's fifty-fifty really. This is very true - there was just something that struck me about the way he said 'no more Top Gear until next year for boring reasons' that made me think there might not be, especially given that he'd already gone into the reasons why the show proper wouldn't be back. Then again, he *is* Jeremy - even he doesn't believe half of what he says!

There's quite a lot of publicity for the fact that James and Jeremy are filming in Yorkshire/Darlington for Top Gear, though without any clue as to whether it's for series 19 or for the Christmas Special (if it exists). Various tweets: Jeremy Clarkson and James May are at Croft circuit (Darlington) today filming top gear!Saw Jeremy Clarkson and James May and the rest of the top gear production people this morning in a M5 at Rockliffe! (Hotel) Yea saw them all last night , and on the way to work saw them driving out in a M5 ! must be going to croft
Did I just see James May & Clarkson at Darlo football stadium! ?? (Yes, others confirmed) Just found out that my little sisters been talking to James may in Whitby There's also been a great deal of silliness about a 'free fish and chips' offer the guys saw in the local paper, which lead to the paper making sure they got their treat THE Northern Echo has come to the rescue of BBC Top Gear stars Jeremy Clarkson and James May - after delivering them lunch at Croft Circuit near Darlington today.
Peter Barronþ@EchoPeterBarron Delighted to report the fish & chips mission was successful. Jeremy Clarkson and James May have been fed courtesy of The Northern Echo. With photo And all that prompted an editorial with a little information about Jezza in his youth www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/features/columnists/peterbarron/editorschair/9884413.Jeremy_Clarkson_plugs_free_fish_and_chips_in_the_Northern_Echo/

Sorry for being such a grammar Nazi, but the writing in this so-called editorial is pathetic! "Me and Jeremy go back a long way"? "Quite a coo"? Are there doves involved?

OK - the "coo" thing is deliberate, but it should be "Jeremy and I", rather than "me and Jeremy"
Hint: the sentence should still make sense when you take out the "Jeremy and..." part, so you wouldn't say "me goes back a long way", you'd say "I go back a long way", hence "Jeremy and I.."
Now, clean the blackboard and put your chairs up on the desks before you go home
