The sun shone yesterday!!! I was at a car show, so sat out all day, and now I have a red nose and chest!!! Whoopee!!!

It's a lovely sunny day here today and the temperature outside is actually nudging lukewarm. Sitting in direct sunlight at my office desk is fantastic, but it does made one rather sleepy...

Good news for UK posters. The jetstream is apparently slowly making its way north, where it's supposed to be. Apparently they're "cautiously optimistic" that the weather will start to improve after this week - or at least, revert to "normal summer weather". Of course, the normal British summer is capable of being lousy even without the aid of the jetstream.
I think I'm beginning to get a bit obsessed about this. Must be the lack of Vitamin D.

It's raining from New York to Maryland.Apparently the moisture is needed.Maryland is down something like 13 inches. In NM we rarely even get that!

Yesterday was very gray and rainy, but today it was sunny, humid and quite warm. The rest of the week ought to be about the same.

There have been some seriously weird cloud formations here over the past few days, like this one I photographed on Sunday evening  But this (below) was the most bizarre - I was having my car MOTd and all the staff and customers went out to look at the cloud, which was so low it looked as if you could almost touch it. It was like one of those movies where people look up to the sky to see the end of the world approaching. After that there was lengthy torrential rain, thunder and lightning and hail, followed by hours of sunshine.  |

Everyone in my area has fingers crossed for rain this weekend. Isaac is supposed to give us some relief.
