We missed the horrendous storm which is paralyzing the Northeast, but the wind is howling and it's damned cold!

Waiting for Winter Storm Saturn (The Weather Channel is now naming winter, as well as summer, storms). Forecasters are now saying we could get a foot or more of snow by tomorrow morning. Lovely.

We went to York this afternoon, had a good mooch around and then went to a concert at The Barbican and then drove home to Leeds. It was rain all the way until we got onto the Leeds Ring Road, then we started to see the odd car covered in snow, then roofs and fields, by the time we got home the roads had been covered - so sometime this evening it must have snowed, although we didn't see any signs of it from the sky.

13th of May today. Outside there is the mother of all hail storms going on, with massive hailstones being swept almost sideways in the blustery wind. I love the UK.

Showery, is the word that could describe todays weather.Brilliant sunshine here, although five minutes ago it was hail stoning, and there was a clap of thunder thrown in for effect, it's also very windy. We just need fog, snow and frost (which is promised for tonight,) to complete the weather picture.

The weather here in my part of Maryland is breezy, sunny. I'm on the computer looking for a job which seems to be practically impossible.

Cold and windy (upper 50s); where's spring? So much for pool openings tomorrow.

After having a snowstorm last weekend (which killed my lilac blooms), we are now having a heat wave. This is the fourth day of >90F temps, and humidity. I am officially wilted.

What is the record for temperature differentials within one week? That must be close surely.

There were a bunch of record high temps set this week, but I don't know about differentials. It's not uncommon in the spring and fall to have nighttime temps of 20's and days in the 80's.
