The internet was made for sneaky purchases! I'm lucky, my husband watches Top Gear and James is his favorite so I just act like it's a family purchase, lol.

I just used the 'James is very sweet, but I don't fancy him THAT way routine'... worked for me, and luckily my husband liked him too, so it was a win-win' situation!!

I've said this before but my husband seems to understand my crushes, he has some of his own. I've had a crush on race car driver Mark Martin for years and we sorta' "looked at where his house is" in Florida. "Stalking" is such a harsh word!

It's funny that adco, because, I know my hubby has odd 'crushes', but for some reason I get really jealous of them (probably lack of self-esteem), and yet he accepts mine freely!

My hubby likes Fergie, the singer not the royal one. That would be better as she looks more like me!

See, this is one of the advantages to being single. I can buy what I want and drool as I wish without repercussions. LOL

This is easy for me, I don't get in the way of O/H crush on Kylie or two of the girls on 2 pints of lager (every time I walk in the room it's on, so doh bit of a give away!) and he watchs TG with me and puts up with the 'Cor! Look at that arse!' comments that flow ever so frequently from my mouth ;D

LOL! My husband picked up our mail today and ther was a package like a book comes in. Since I am expecting the rest of my order of James' books, I sorta' snatched it from him and ripped it open. It was the Alumni directory from the university my husband and I attended . He must have figured out what I was hoping it was because he winked at me and said "Eager to catch up on some old friends?"

Speaking of James' books, I have them all now! And all of his DVDs! However, if I may be allowed a small rant-- Amazon.uk did not say , anywhere, that May's Magnificent Machines was the paperback version of May's 20th Century. Sigh.... shipping to my side of the pond isn't cheap. But, at least it is more portable than the hadcover version. And poor James needs the money for his cars. ;D I've done my part to help.

I have to admit I'm considering buying Magnificent Machines, even though I'm quite aware that it's 20th Century in paperback, because paperbacks are much more suitable for reading in the bath. This is why I finished "Spitfire: A Biography" in a few days, but "Corsairville" took ages, even though I'm easily as interested in flying boats as in Spitfires

I wasn't intending to buy 'Magnificent Machines' either, because I already have the first book, but I'm glad I changed my mind, because it gave me the chance to meet James again, and to discover that he remembered me from this Board! ;D It also means that I now have a copy of that book that I can take with me when I go away; after all, a large hardback book is a bit difficult to carry around!

Spam, fishfingers and the occasional crumpet. I really pushed the boat out and got a Frey Bentos pie the other day. Oh god, pay day can't come soon enough...

I'm here to 'out' my hubby... watching Oz n James series 2 last night, and my hubby remarked 'James's nose crinkles when he really laughs', before adding 'that sounded really gay didn't it??' ... should I worry??

I don't know what you mean maibee?? Anyway, he knows how I feel about James... and teases me about it mercilessly... He does like James, he bought TG mag yesterday, and sat reading 'May on Motors' laughing heartily (it was even his suggestion to watch Oz n James last night!!)

That's too funny Liz! My husband has confessed his admiration of James on an intellectual level, lol. He hasn't mentioned any nose crinkling though!
