Dear Dr. May, It's been a while since I've needed to check in to your ward, but I don't think I can hold out any longer. My right shoulder has been giving me a fair amount of pain lately. Now it's lasting all day instead of just a few hours in the morning. Could you kindly bring your healing hands and soothing voice to my room.
I also have a headache coming on and a slight sniffle. I know it's a lot to take on, but I have every faith in your healing abilities.
Thank-you, DMC
P.S. Something warm to drink wouldn't go amiss either.

I've got some leftover Vicoden and muscle relaxers if you'd like a couple. My back's actually starting to feel a bit better, thank goodness. Red wine was also a nice soothing drink while in pain. Do not take with painkillers though...have to pick one or the other.

I'm attempting a couple aspirin (the only pain killer I can take without a doctor's supervision) and some pink grapefruit bubble bath very soon.
But thanks for the offer. If this doesn't work, I'll try the wine option. ;D

Thanks ElerVim. ;D The bath and aspirin didn't do much, so now I shall have to rely on some red, red wine and Dr. May.

Hope you feel better really soon DMC! Thanks. I'm going to open a bottle of red wine while I'm making dinner tonight. Perhaps the relaxing effect will help soothe that shoulder. The stuffiness seems to have lessened throughout the day. Maybe those Dr. May prescribed hot toddies really do work. ;D

A burst ear drum! Oh my, that's really terrible! I hope you have something for the pain from the Dr.s.
Besides the prescription drugs, I'll have Dr. Clarkson come in and prescribe you some TLC. Hopefully, he won't feel the need to shout.

Poor jess-lou! A burst ear drum sounds massively painful. I hope Dr. Clarkson can work his magic and make you feel better.

A burst ear drum? How horrible! How did that happen? Regardless of how it happened, I hope the pain isn't too bad and you feel better real soon.

Can I please bring myself into here with a bad chest and dose of the lurgy? Don't know quite what it is but I slept though from last night to gone 5pm today (except for a couple of minutes late morning when I got up to feed the cats - I think they thought I'd died!). I still feel dreadful and can't get warm, even though all the heating's on.
I've got to be right for tomorrow night as it's the technical rehearsal at the theatre and I'm doing the sound. I'm just going to have to take it really easy till then.
I'm trying to cheer myself up with the Middle East special on Dave ja vu, then 18.2 on BBC3 later, and lots of hot Vimto with a spot of rum.

Dr. May has been paged for you, Dit. I'm sure you'll feel lots better very soon. The Botswana special is on BBCA right now. P.S. Had to resort to the U.D. for "lurgy."

I want the whole trio! Injured my back while doing dance. All three of them must massage my back and croon into my ear and that'll make me feel much better... > James must play a song on the piano, Clarkson gets to sing to me, Hammond must paint me a picture, and TG gets to lick my face and curl up next to me. My dog's not very snuggly.

(btw, the gentle ministrations of Dr May have helped me greatly. He's managed to pop in for a few moments every evening, and my chest is now feeling considerably soothed)

*walks in, checks self in, goes over to usual bed, grabs a sick bucket along the way* It's not really hit my state in a big way, but it has hit my city's public schools. Pretty sure I've got the flu. At least I know which coworker to blame and then kill when I recover, T**. His kids have it, and he carried the germs to all of us at work! I was barely able to eat yesterday, in spite of slaving over this awesome manicotti dish, then woke up late last night sicker than a dog. I feel horrible. Someone pass a nice cold drink. And possibly some chicken broth. VERY glad I bought some more broth at the grocery store, saves me having to send MOH on an errand for it.

*Dr. May arrives pushing cart with hot, soothing broth and a large container of iced ginger ale* He did have some pain killers on that cart, but he's taken them for himself. Hope you feel better soon. * sends good vibes & healing thoughts* * pencils in flight to WI to pick off idiot co-worker from a discreet distance*

He can have them, painkillers would probably make me throw up. And he gets the bed right next to mine to recover from his injury. *flops over on couch* I feel weary as heck more than anything...but I've heard this disease starts with puking, then feeling okay except for a bit tired, then it gets worse...so tomorrow should be GREAT.

I am in desperate need of Dr. May right now. I have been up all night, studying the inside of my toilet bowl, hugging it intensely And it is not getting any better unfortunately. I feel really, really sick. I am on the sofa, bucket beside me and I cannot stand anything, not even a sip of water. I look terrible too. Anyhow... I need Dr. May! I just want him to come and lie down next to me, so I can cuddle up and rest my head on his chest. I really would like to be hold and told that it will be over soon, and sleep. And when I have to take care of the little one, I really would like him to make me a cup of tea. When OH comes home this evening, they can go and have a pint and pie together, and I'm off to bed. This is not too much to ask now is it?

*sends Dr. May, bandaged, to manfully attend Mayb* Cuddle away Mayb, just watch the head on the chest thing. Wouldn't want to cause further damage to the Mayster. Hope you feel better soon.

*walks in* Awww, who carved my name on my usual bed? That was sweet of you. Ok I come here with my flu, migraines, bad teeth, and occasional backache pretty often but I spent most of last night at the actual hospital a mile down the road. To sum it up, it was not a fun night. I had some severe stomach pains/cramps come on really fast, couldn't walk, couldn't really stay standing, and I was in agony. After a bunch of tests, well, they know what it isn't. No clue what it was/is, so I was sent home. Still in pain, but nowhere near as bad as last night. Suspect I'm going to end up back there.

I hope you're feeling better soon. Perhaps a long cuddle with James will help ease the pain and lull you into a restful slumber.
Take care.

Dr. May, it appears that the common cold has taken up residence in my body. I'm light headed, sneezing and the sniffles have commenced. There is also a slight fever. Could you spare a couple hours from your busy schedule to give me a seeing to help me with my malady?
