I think it's very sad that people decide whether or not to go to an event that is this much fun based on whether or not one person is riding in the sprints. Won't stop me from going - I'd decided after last year that I was going regardless of the guest list so I'll be there enjoying myself ;D I'm with you on that wy. I loved every minute of it last year and would be going again (James or no James) but didn't book because of impending doggie maternal duties. Turns out that will be the end of May (fingers crossed) so I could have gone  Never mind. There's always another time. Have a great time  I suspect there may be a few cancelled rooms you could book into  |

Queen of England Blags Thundersprint Star For Flower Show
The Thundersprint will miss motorcycling superstar James May, and his mighty 70cc Honda Cub, because JM is making a plasticine garden which the Queen will see.
James said: "I'm extremely disappointed not to be at this year's Thundersprint, the greatest motorcycling event in Cheshire and probably the world, but I have to meet the Queen. And I don't mean Jeremy Clarkson.
"It's especially galling as I had race-prepared my Honda C70 Cub by fitting a new spark plug and pumping the tyres up a bit. I hope you all have an excellent day despite my absence.”
Thundersprint organiser, Frank Melling, said: "Whilst we understand the Queen's enthusiasm for meeting James, and thus removing him from the Thundersprint, we hope that she will reciprocate by doing a lap of the Thundersprint course in Moz Baines' sidecar next year."
( He must have heard the mighty Fizzys and SS50's were there! And that an SS50 was racing!lol) Sad really hopefully he will attend next year.

Those folks who have chosen now to not go just because James isn't going, I'm sorry to hear it. Apparently it's a cracking weekend of fun, with or without James. I will still be going all the way from London!

Last year, this bloke was rather popular among the ladies of the board...  He's hairy, and just about wearing leathers... Hopefully, there will be lots more lovely chaps to look at this year... |

I know this is a bit OT but the North West 200 is on at the moment, the week long bike race thing that happens here in Ulster every year. Up around the Portrush area.
