Wow!... thanks!
Yep, he did mention his vertigo, the director must've said something to him, cos he exclaimed 'Why don't I tell everyone how scared I am?? Because I don't want anyone to know!!... Yes I suffer from vertigo!' ;D

Have put the last couple of photos, and that's all there are, into PB... nothing wildly exciting, just a few more shots of early preparation, and Edwina bloody Currie

I want a bakewell tart now. I did too, but then Liz mentioned Edwina Currie and now all I can think of is John Major in Y-fronts and I'm no longer hungry...

Speaking as someone Derbyshire born and bred and Bakewell being just a few miles up the road I can tell you that the true dessert is actually called a Bakewell pudding ( the purists insist!) It was a recipe that went wrong but tasted so good that it became famous. You can buy the original type at 'Ye olde pudding shop!' Ooh, they are yummy ;0

Yes I suffer from vertigo!' ;D He shouldn't be embarrassed. Vertigo is quite common. Hell, I can barely stand going out on my sixth floor balcony.

I *hate* heights. I never used to have any problem with them, but one day (while taking a ride on the London Eye actually) I found out that I had bad vertigo. It snuck up on me while muh back was turned I'm trying to cure myself of it (if that's the right word). I've near forced myself to climb up to the top of the Monument, and the dome of St Pauls, although I do draw the line at Blackpool Tower (bother that glass floor ;D). To slightly paraphrase Rincewind from Discworld, it's not heights I mind so much as depths ;D

Eww Finding out about that relationship still disturbs me deeply. Thanks for sharing the pics Liz!! They are wonderful, glad you had a lovely day and got to chat to Mr. May

I felt funny looking up at sky scrapers in New York. Heights don't worry me too much. At least that's one less thing to worry about

Why in God's name was Edwina Curry there? Apart from the fact she's a Liverpudlian, and an attention seeker.

After sunday is there just the train to go?

Post by Wyvern on Aug 10, 2009 12:41:29 GMT
Yes, that's the last one. I think they're keeping that one fairly low-key and local, because James was at the North Devon Show to recruit the volunteer team last week. Not surprising - there is absolutely sod all public transport infrastructure in that part of Devon, and if a swarm of people descended there like they did at Denbies, they'd probably outnumber the locals!

I'm still trying to figure out where it will be ;D but don;t worry, I won't be throwing wild guesses all over the internet. It's just so I can see how much of a train geek I actually am, to see if I can guess right. *finds rail atlas*
