and an extra 10 points if you can tell me what the boot spoiler belongs to (on the car on the drive) Er..... Honda something or other? I drive a 1996 Plymouth Neon, by the way. No, he's not a great car, but we understand each other's ways. I would dearly dearly love to own a MINI, but I think it's out of my price range

2005 purple PT Cruiser. We added the yellow stripe after I nearly got hit in it twice and then DID get hit in it the third time! It has s**t for turning radius for such a small car--my DH's old 70's Sedan de Ville could nip round quicker than this beastie!

Wy, that's one gorgeous little car! ;D Judging by the number plate, it's a year older than the MGB GT my dad owned when I was a kid, a car of which I have a lot of happy memories. I hope Gerald will bring you lots of happy memories in due course. I wonder, would Gerald and his new owner be willing to grant me an audience sometime?!

XJ, I'll get over with Gerald as soon as I can - though he does need a little attention after his long trip today, and I can't do without wing mirrors so that'll need to be addressed too, but once it's done, just try and stop me! He was registered 20th January 1967, btw.
Hmm... how to get 5 boxers in a Herald... well, the boot's huge...

I'd love a visit from you and Gerald sometime, but for now, I'd be very happy to do the travelling. You never know, maybe we'll end up frequenting classic car shows together! Our cars could make an interesting duo! ;D Yes, wing mirrors would be handy! As I recall, my dad's MG didn't have them either. I think it was registered in 1968, but I don't know the exact date. Sadly, it was scrapped ages ago.

Hmm... how to get 5 boxers in a Herald... well, the boot's huge... You might shut them in but I'll bet they would be out in no time at all ;D Gerald is gorgeous I would love to have something like him to go to work in and the truck for doggie-related outings. Sadly, the wage won't stretch that far

He'll be even more lush and gorgeous once he's had a couple of little repairs. A new engine and possibly a new gearbox, by the sound of it

I've come down with a bad case of motorcycle interest. I guess you could call me bike-curious. I blame the Vietnam special.
It's been several days. Should I wait and see if it dies out or bite the bullet and get some lessons? Never been on a bike before, ever.

Give it a couple of days and if the interest doesn't wane, give it a go

IM BACK!!!!!!! hoorah, months of working around the place means that now.......... this is the list (not in order) of what i have driven and owned since my last time on here! TEA AND BISCUITS AT READY ITS A LONG LIST!! lol the ones i still own at present so far are: 2 of 33 left in the uk... very rare and very quick. Renault 9 Turbo's phase 1 and 2 (black is phase 2 and silver phase 1) - restoring them probably in winter time, interior is still like new and where i work i get free engines for them! i also have this - a BRAND NEW shell for them, it is THE only one in existance that is left, was hanging up on Renault UK's HQ, and we bought it and it will be built to be a magazine car to show that old cars really still are cool and better than new cars! (well, not more than the new focus rs but thats understandable! lol) next on the list is this, the little work runabout van - im repainting it shortly, doesnt go fast its a fiesta, but its cheap to run so it does the job. Ford Capri 1.6 Laser - it was my dream car, but the dream didnt last so long when i was paid off from building trade, and had to get rid of her, i'd give everything up to have another clean one. i have this however i've de-chavved it from its stupid spoiler, and its sitting a bare shell just now awaiting to be turned into a proper ford RS, like it left the factory and painted diamond white. for £400 im not complaining it should have been a £1800 car i paid for really! i love haggling lol and my favourite is my convertable, my escort xr3i, sounds like a touring car when it pops and bangs, sooooo nice to hear noises like that, even better when its your own car 8) currently (yes another) undergoing a FULL restoration to make her look superb again, fords i own dont have rust on them so they myth about rusty fords are all a lie i tell you! haha things i have owned but now sold are - Renault 5 GT Turbo - my boss runs a tuning company for them so i get to use them when i feel like going deep into pockets for fuel for the greedy little things! lol next (yes im basically a retro car slag i know but i cant help it! i had this - 60k from new full ford service history, just sold it and back over in ireland now THINK IVE HAD TOO MANY? lol

I'm currently driving a Hummer H3 - and I adore my car!!!!!!!!!
I know it's a gas gussler etc but in my defence i am a "Brit Abroad" and live in the Middle East, which basically means the desert so such a car is required for the terain I have to drive in! Plus it's a very very safe car to drive cos the driving here is MADNESS, really it is.... the Arabs are the worst drivers...
and living in one of the globes riches oil states it's only 11 pence a litre for petrol so it's actually quite cheap to run...
I know I may attract some "haters" for driving such a car but beleive me it really is necessary here!

Richard is most definitely a closet American! ;D Chewing gum. Wearing cowboy hats and boots. Loving muscle cars and understanding what they're all about. And now he owns a Harley! Before long he'll be picking up all our bad habits too! ;D

How can Richard reach the ground on a Harley??? I expect Jeremy would like the ride-on mower One of my ambitions is to have a lawn that justifies owning one!

I expect Jeremy would like the ride-on mower One of my ambitions is to have a lawn that justifies owning one! They are not as exciting as they sound believe me, before we moved overseas our house in the UK had a garden that justified a ride on lawn mower. It was great for the first summer of lawn mowing, MOH and would "fight" over who would get to ride on the mower and mow the lawn. But after a while it just becomes a chore like normal mowing.... it's actually quite boring riding round in circles
