It's like one of those Spot The Difference games. I see exhausts, filler cap and a wee bit of chrome trim (which could just be a trick of the light)

The chrome trim is a trick of the light, she's got the same as the other car. Her aerial is on the front left wing.
Both of the other guys suggested I put a locking petrol cap on her. "In this day and age" etc.
Thanks for the compliments. I love her to bits.

She's a sassy chick, sunning herself and gaining admiring glances. The little flirt!

I drive a Ford Focus Flexifuel from 2007; Whatever you do, don't buy one! It's uncomfortable to drive and feels very plastic and cheap...

I have a Mazda Protege. It's been a reliable little runabout, still less than 70k on the miles, even though it's over 10 yrs old.
Then came today. I had to have it inspected (okay, it's two months overdue), and not only were two tires bad (I knew about them), but both belts and the wiper blades needed replacing. Apparently one of the belts was so bad, the mechanic was pretty sure it wouldn't get me home. It took another mechanic's shop and two parts stores to get them both replaced. My poor car, when it goes bad, goes very very bad.
It's been a very long, expensive morning. But my car looks (and runs) great now!

I should probably rename myself as Polobee - this is my Polo, the picture taken the day we got it from the car dealers', March 27th this year. VW Polo, 1.2 TSI, 77 kW, 105 hp I love it to bits, and so does my husband (a vee dub man through and through since 1981 ;D).

I learned to drive in my parents' old Ford Taurus. That car lasted for around 14 years and taught both me and my two younger sisters how to drive. It met its untimely end when my youngest sister drove it into a pond (don't worry, my sister was fine). My first car of my own was (don't laugh) a Chrysler PT Cruiser. It was a terrible car. The turning radius was ridiculous. I'm bad enough at parking to begin with, and the PT's inability to make sharp turns didn't help! And it started having electrical problems two year after I bought it. And then it started randomly stalling while I was driving it (and of course, I'd take it in to the shop and they couldn't find anything wrong with it). So toward the end of last year, I bought a new Ford Focus and I really like it. It's nice to be in a car that actually does what it's supposed to do and doesn't stall on me when I least expect it. Sorry for the blurriness...I need to take a better picture of it... And yes, I do have a soft spot for blue cars!

I am now the proud owner of my very first car! And I didn't even have to fight a car dealer for a good price. My in-laws just upgraded their Subaru and gave us theirs! She's a little dirty from winter driving, but she's all mine and my husband's. ;D ;D

I'm excited for you! Now you'll have to get some fuzzy dice for the mirror, a hula girl for the dash, a go fast stripe for the hood and maybe some ground effects. That'll pimp your ride.

Pimp it??? That will make it unrecognizable! ;D ;D
I'm still working on clearing out anything my mother-in-law has left. Like a pair of sunglasses, a cd with no case and lots of crumbs in the glove compartment. ;D
It's taking some getting used to. Actually having a car.. to do with as I please. ;D

We do plan on changing the plate to the animal shelter version. Right now it states that I'm a Korean War vet. That might be just a tad misleading.

Congrats, DMC! A car is such a necessity when you live out in the boondocks. And how does one get crumbs in the glovebox?

I drive a 2003 Chevy Tahoe. My first car was a '92 Dodge Caravan. I loved both of them. No, I don't have kids or dogs or anything that you need that kind of car for. Being a bit vertically challenged (5' 1") I love being up high. I did drive a '99 Cadillac De Ville, hated it with a passion. It drove like a pig stuck in mud and drank gas like it was a penny a gallon. Plus whenever it broke down, which was often, it drained my bank account.

We bought it from a friend, though, for $1, and now that our girl is driving, she's gotten fond of it, so we keep it up. Our familymobile was a 2002 Chrysler Sebring Sedan. The Mister had it built to his specs, and he cared for it well--not slavishly, but devotedly. She's been aging gracelessly and we finally decided to jump back into car payments.....so to make it more palatable, here's the replacement..... 2012 Dodge Challenger. It's the V6, so not as throaty as the V-8, but barely 10K on the odometer, and very clean. We intend to enjoy the heck out of it.
