Someone claiming to be James is on twitter. He already has thousands of followers. I think he's a fraud though. It doesn't sound remotely like him. What do you think? He's posting under "RealJamesMay".

Jeremy had a fake twitter only a couple of weeks ago. I'd say this is most likely fake as well. The fake Jeremy had thousands of followers.... when questioned by the Mole (I think) his response was put on the TG website, something along the lines of 'What's a Twitter?'

I've read it......who knows, James has a habit for the bizarre, though when the comment of a male agent cropped up.....my thoughts were a definite no

I wouldn't put much faith in it. I'm not a member of Twitter so I haven't a clue about it, but I doubt James or Jeremy is either for real. Both of them are too busy for it. From what I've heard from other friends who are members, it's very addictive.

And tonight twitter members are trying to twit at least £700,000 to charity according to Metro newspaper. Also, Stephen Fry's on Twitter too.

'RealJamesMay' makes quite interesting reading, but occasionally comes out with things that are way off the mark. I also find it unlikely (though not impossible) that James would choose to describe himself as 'Presenter, Wine Aficionado and Nervous "Geek"'. Still, he's not doing a half-arsed job of it, and he's seen off the person posing as Hammond, so it's not all bad. But the male agent thing made me do my eyebrow thing and there have been some oddities of spelling and punctuation that seem unusual even in the light of the 140 character-per-tweet limit.
The charity Twitter thing is absolutely true though - they're encouraging Twitterers to actually meet up at venues all over the world and they're aiming to provide fresh water to people who currently have no access to safe drinking water.

With regards to this I'm 90% sure he has a female agent (?) I'm sure someone will know. But I'm still not sure whether it is actually 'him' or not

Man, Oh man I'm confused. he could be just saying that to throw people off...or it could be a fake. My head hurts! Well, look at it this way. If he wanted to be on Twitter as James May he wouldn't be trying to hide his identity, he'd be James May. If he wanted to be there incognito he might call himself Lola, for instance ... If someone wanted to pretend to be James May they might well get all sorts of details wrong because they don't know that there are JM Experts out here.

I think James is too much of a genuine person to purposely throw people off. Mmm doesn't look like a Lola to me The truth will out in the end from somewhere !
