I've been meaning to ask what a jaffa cake is so please someone tell me. It is a sponge disc with some tangy orangey goo on the top, which is then coated in dark chocolate. I quite like 'em. ;D

JAFFA CAKEY. Ooh, I haven't had any of those in a long while.
I remember, quite a while ago, some supermarket (genuinely don't remember which one after all this time) used to sell their own branded lime flavour jaffa cake type biscuits.
They were wrong, and yet still very very nommy. Jaffa cakes are meant to be orange, we all know that, but they were GOOD.

This one looks OK, not tried it myself though: Beef & Ale PieIt's all gone now but I had seriously good curry leftovers for lunch. We went to a gig in Brick Lane in the East End last night and simply HAD to go for a curry afterwards! It was superb but we couldn't finish it, so we got a doggie bag ;D

Zabaglione made from the left over egg yolks from yesterday's apple & blackberry "snow". Never made zabaglione before, but there will be more soon. It's VERY good and VERY easy to make! ;D

lol @ Mayfayre. ;D Hahah, yea, well, you can either come to the Netherlands and buy them yourselves, or we could do an exchange Vivienne, I don't know those Mexican cookies, but I can pretty much assure you the kruidnoten don't taste like those cookies, because the taste is of Dutch origin and only being sold here and maybe in Belgium.

Nat, The bizcochito is New Mexico's state cookie, just looked it up. It is similar to the dutch cookie because they both have anise and cinnamon. Wikipedia said kruidnoten also are for fertility like sowing a field.

Just had a bologna sandwich with American cheese and mustard on it, with potato chips and a chewy chocolate chip cookie dough granola bar for lunch. ;D I hope it's Oscar Mayer bologna, on Wonder white bread with French's bright day-glo mustard and you're eating Lays plain potato chips. Ya gotta put a few of those chips inside the sandwich. Ah, school lunch in the Midwest. Memories...like the corners of my mind.... EDIT: I forgot the apple that makes a dent in your sandwich.

I never put chips inside my sandwich, nor have I ever liked bologna at all, but I see you've spent some time here.

I made spag bol the other night and obviously with a pantry that isn't fully stocked, I had to make do with what I had. As it was cooking I realised I had no wine but I did have an opened bottle of perry in the fridge. Hmm. I took the risk and put some in...and it tasted really good! Gave it a subtle nutmeg/apple flavour (despite being pear : . That is, unless British cows are fed on a diet of apples...
