I've just made myself the full British Sunday works - roast beef, roast potatoes, carrots, Yorkshires and proper gravy made from the juices. I very rarely cook anything like this nowadays as there doesn't seem much point for one, but I've still got the knack, though I say so myself, and I've really enjoyed it.
Sorry if that sounds immodest, but I'm quite pleased with myself.

Mmm Sunday roast, it all sounds lovely, Dit!
I had my first last week and I really liked it. It must be even better when it's home-cooked instead of in a pub.

Oooh dit & DMC, sounds delish! I'm warming up the oven in preparation of loads of pumpkin seeds to roast! I like them almost as much as candy....salty, crunchy and full of that unique pumpkin flavor! Probably will hoist a cold beer to go along with them...maybe a certain blue-eyed gent would bring some London Pride over and share? Oh, and the beer, too, perhaps...

You could celebrate Beltane on 1st May instead Brilliant! A fire festival...on the first day of May...how apt "So why didn't you turn up to work yesterday?" "Because my ancestors are Scottish and I lit a fire." ..."You're fired!" (Ok that was bad)

Tonight, I make...PIE Cannibalism strikes again in Melbourne! ;D It's tuna shepherd's pie, to be precise. In a soup mug because I've lost my ramekins Recipe is here if anyone's interested: www.taste.com.au/recipes/22497/tuna+shepherds+pie I added carrot, garlic and red wine. Beat that James! Actually he would beat my pie - he beat Gordon Ramsay's. Then again, I could beat Gordon Ramsay...

I'm eating everything and anything. And lots of it. Maybe it's the time of year but I'm always hungry. I had my breakfast (a very large bowl of cereal) half an hour ago and I'm hungry already.

Spotify is a wonderful thing. Currently listening to John Coltrane: Lush Life, whilst drinking another glass of Sauv. Blanc and eating sausage rolls as the snow falls outside my window. Nice.

Eggs poached in a drop of milk, then mashed up & plopped on toast. It was supposed to be scrambled egg on toast but I seem to have forgotten to beat the eggs before putting them into the microwave!

It's just right for this sort of weather ;D

I must stop eating nuts because I'm supposed to be getting ready for our Departmental Christmas dinner. I think I ordered the Roast Turkey & all the trimmings, as we're having beef on Christmas Day. Whatever is is, it will be a big meal, so I shouldn't be spoiling it... I shall, however have a drink or several before I go, because I know how much drinks cost at that place! We discovered Gingerbread Cream at M&S last night. Like Baileys, only it tastes of gingerbread ;D

Gingerbread cream!?!?! Must look for that one. I decided to take a day off after working night and day the last 3 months so I indulged in a little Firefly (sweet tea flavored vodka) and lemonade. It's like tea with lemon... only better! Had Indian for lunch, can't wait to cook up some tasty dinner after my trip to the grocery store! - Cor

I had pigs' trotters with noodles and broth. There's something fantastic about the texture of slow-cooked trotters, they go all gelatinous and soft and gooey. There's not a lot of meat on them but they're lovely. Unfortunately, I don't know how they did the in the Chinese place we were in a couple of weeks ago did them, but their trotters were fantastic!

My fudz consumption has been minute over the last few days, and consisting mostly of things that I can easily stir my antibiotic powder into however, a sudden attack of the munchies led me to the fridge about ten minutes ago. I am now eating some hideously strong cheese with the final scrapings from a jar of sweet onion chutney ;D I shall be dreaming a nightmare of grand proportions tonight, I'm sure. But *noms* don't care.
