I was supposed to be eating chicken & cashews in yellow bean sauce, except that I don't appear to have any yellow bean sauce, so I'm eating Thai vegetable parcels, a buttered muffin and some chocolate.
I'll have the chicken tomorrow. With new yellow bean sauce.

I'm still working my way through the Christmas chocolates. I have quite a long way to go yet.

I'm still working my way through the Christmas chocolates. I have quite a long way to go yet. Me too.... which doesn't bode well for the diet....

Thirded. I'm on a big chocco comfort thing at the moment. Only chocolate will do.

I'm still eating my way through the Christmas sweets, choc and nuts, plus my staple diet of aniseed balls.

I'm trying to resist. We're having a bit of a team effort for dinner tonight and MF has made some lovely stuffed lamb. I've made a... small... batch of latkes (only 16 this time) and I'm desperately trying not to dive face-first into the pile of latkes while I'm waiting for the lamb to cook... ;D

I'm trying to resist too. Maybe we could have them as a starter?
There are home made Macadamia nut & white chocolate cookies waiting as well...

Well, it was supposed to be Blue String Pudding (a la Clangers) but I only had rice noodles and the colour went a bit wrong and it ended up being more like Grey String Pudding.
I'll try it again sometime with proper noodles, coconut milk and cardamom with bits of pistachio nut mixed in.

Well I cooked a rather nice oxtail casserole, with dumplings...turned out rather well seeing as I'm not on this planet. Shame I couldn't eat it.

The girlie and i made Jamie Olivers' Guinness beef and Cheese Pie.....it was incredible! TOH loved it as well. Of course, you could almost wrap shredded cardboard in puff pastry and it would be tasty....

Right now it's just a glass of cold water with ice, but I've just been eating a lovely dinner while watching an episode of TG on my computer ;D Pork ribs and a lot of fried vegetables. Yummy!

Of course, you could almost wrap shredded cardboard in puff pastry and it would be tasty.... That's one of the stereotypical Northern things, isn't it? Will eat anything as long as it's wrapped in pastry? That and Whippets. I don't get the attacks on those cute little sight hounds.

Macaroni and cheese pizza from Ian's on State. YUM. The portabella, spinach, and roasted bell pepper pizza is quite delicious too! Ians. The official food of the Pizza Rebellion/Cheddar Revolution. Oh I live in a weird place.

I'd never heard of ginger beer until I saw that one episode of Man Lab...and I picked up a bottle at the Asian grocery store a block away cause I was curious(had to go get a clove of garlic and an onion, so why not?). WOW. That stuff is delicious! Something tasty to drink while cooking.
