The new series of Shooting Stars starts this week (tomorrow July 13) on BBC. Acccording to IMDB, James will be a guest on the fifth episode, so that would be Tuesday August 17 if it's a weekly thing.  www.imdb.com/title/tt1682701/ |

I really can't imagine him on this programme. I assume he will do his "bewildered" act and wander through it being vague. It's the only way I can imagine him getting away with it.

Perhaps watching it a bit blurry will help! ;D I see that James is still not in the line-up of guests for QI.  He would be fantastic! |

Haha am I seriously one of the only people here that remembers Shooting Stars? The new ones are quite crap, the old series are much better - with George Dawes  Ah I hope James knows what he's let himself in for, I'm preparing for a cringey show! |

Just watched the first episode. To be honest, I quite liked it. It's just utter nonsense, but that's what I like about it. ;D

I love James and I love QI but I don't think he'd be a good fit. Genuinely intelligent people sometimes do really well on that show but sometimes they just get frustrated and annoyed.

Or possibly 10 August, if he's to be in episode five, as indicated. Episode two was shown tonight, which means that number five should be three weeks away, ie. 10 August. Incidentally, it's repeated on the Friday, so you'll get a second chance to see it if you miss it on the Tuesday. |

According to Wikipedia, he'll be making an appearance in the last episode of the series. The Radio Times websites already lists the epsiode of August 10 and James is not mentioned as one of the guests. God, Louis Spence on Shooting Stars, that's going to be erm.... hectic. ;D |

Any favourite guests in this series?Bob: James May from Top Gear was really good, even if it was slightly incongruous seeing him on Shooting Stars. His punishment was to have a tramp lie on top of him. A tramp? This should be an... interesting show! But at least Bob said he was really good.
