Since my avatar is being discussed I thought I should comment. I think it is a brush in his mouth. He was using it to clean the creases in the upholstery leather of the seats. And I did pop in here very early this morning before setting out to the doctor.

;D Well, I've managed to sneak May On Motors in the house (on the basis that it came free with TG mag) and I've been watching 20th century with the other half, it took all that was in me not to shout out cor when he was in that plane.

Don't you just love a man who cleans his car with a tiny brush? I do! And I'd do the same truth be told....
Way to go Em! Bite that lip, run to the loo burst out in silly girl giggles regain your composure and go back to sit with hubby, that may help!

I did a bad thing in front of about six sixteen year olds shouted at my youngest whose not a teenager, he was being completely naughty (he shares the same name as the mighty one, the one thing my ex did right) but called him James May rather than James Lew. There was deadly silence, my eldest and his friends looked and big lew mutted you've got that man on your head.......mmmmm hasten to add I pretended I didn't say a word ;D

Or you could have gone James MAY you act like that? Use it as a word...
I know it's grasping at straws here...

Em , my son also idolizes Jeremy. He's fond of all three however and lists them as his heros on myspace. Along with Adam Savage (mythbusters) and Weird Al Yankovic My son is a bit eclectic That was a major slip there Lew! I live in fear of stuff like that I had to call a patient to confirm an appointment and a similar thing happened but was lucky that the surname started with "M" so I just slurred it. One good thing about being in the states, they probably haven't heard of the person that I almost called them. Would be different at home though.

I enjoyed Lew's story about her slip up. It is definitely becoming a handicap. My nephew also shares that name. If I talk about him my girls always look at me quizzically thinking I'm talking about his Mayness instead their cousin, until the penny drops that NO, for once mum is NOT boring us with May facts! And all this talk has reminded me that I must find out if the right James has got the desired A level results to go to his first choice university. Not much doubt in my mind. My adorable nephew shares the brain capacity of his namesake, just wish that some of the lovely bearhugs I get from him could come from the other unrelated one!

My son and friends were watching Top Gear last week and the part with the drop head Rolls was on. They started to fast forward and I said "No!" Perhaps a bit too loudly One of the friends asked my son if his mom liked Rolls. Son replied"Well yeah, but she likes James May more" complete with eye rolling.

I have 'Amish paradise' as a favourite of mine on Youtube - I laugh and fall over every time I watch it.

We saw him in concert a few years back and must admit it was a great show. Lots of costume changes and everything. And no I am not taking this to the adultery thread!

I haven't felt this giddy since I was back at school, some 20 years ago!! Trying to keep it cool at home, I think my husband is a bit sick and tired of Top Gear and 20th century etc. I wanted to buy all the books and DVD's, but I will probably have to hide them in a secret location

I have James' books stacked on the lower shelf of my desk, with a copy of the MLA handbook on the top. No one but me ever touches the MLA handbook.
I started to call my husband James yesterday, and got the J-a-a-a out, but stopped myself. Oops.

MLA handbook huh? Mine's at work, maybe I should bring it home. My books are on the bottom shelf, but my son reads them so I don't have to hide them. Matter of fact he has one at school now. So much for being in the closet.
