Question! I have 20th century on dvd and can watch whenever, yet the world has just stopped spinning in my world as it is on tv now! This is normal behaviour...yes?? That's perfectly normal behaviour. I will do exactly the same if TG or Time Team comes on, or a film I recorded years ago and have never got around to watching... Oh, hang on, just because I do it probably doen't make it normal!

I always watch whatever episode is on even if I have it recorded and can watch whenever. I suspect around here that's considered normal.

I had to hide all of my TG and 20th century from TOH! I came clean this week though. He changed my background on the computer because he said he hated it (it was just one lols cat with a hot pink background - what's wrong with that)! So I said 'would you rather I have James May all over it' - so....cat's out-of-the bag for me I'm afraid

I've dug myself into an even deeper grave, apparently, this is the ahem...wait for it! Richard Hammond Board, or the Top Gear Board ;D I don't think TOH believes me though... and apparently, the thong picture is Richard he assumed again, I never corrected him.

mmmm...just thinking if it is over the top to ask all family to get me TG stuff for chrissy Got most of the DVDs I can get over here in region hell Haven't got any books yet though...mmmm! TOH already knows about my James crush, so it might be pushing it a bit asking him for TG pressies? I can hardly wait for chrissy morning...'oh look another TG book'...'and another, how did you know'!!

Its really rather tragic, if im honest, but i cant help it. I think my sister has a bit of an inkling as to why i have so many Top Gear DVD's. (James' books are hidden under my matress, far out of anyone's sight.) "Oh and i had to buy 20th century because it is educational!" puhlease. ::)Oh well this place is pretty good.. its nice to know im not alone ;D ;D

Hi. I have this James May crush. I hope I'm not alone. My mates at school were taking piccies of us during science lesson on wednesday to put up on facebook and my mate, let's call her J, ask me who is this guy in his grey. It was James May in WA Season 1 and asked me do I fancy him and I confessed that I do fancy him and they are pretty disgusted about it. Should I listen to them or not? They were giving me dirty looks because he's extremely older than me. I denied to them but here, you know I fancy him

Nah, never deny it! I get ribbed all the time! And for fancying JC too! In fact I have worse crushes than JM and JC. Just ask Maydreamer, she'll tell you.... ;D

Woah. Thanks. I'm not alone . . . My friend's little sister said that Richard Hammond is 'buff' and I thought she fancies him, but she don't.

As I remember, teenege girls are physically incapable of agreeing about whether a guy is fanciable or not. No-one at my school liked the same singer/actor etc and we all took the p*ss out of each other mercilessly for having awful taste and the people the others fancied got a right hammering too. Even if we did secretly fancy the same guy, we'd NEVER admit it!

Even if we did secretly fancy the same guy, we'd NEVER admit it! This is very true. I remember spending a whole afternoon hiding out in the toilets, because one of friends 'accidentally' told one of HER friends that I fancied the guy I sat next to in my science class. And oh dear, the ribbing I got for that. Twas horrible. Of course, three months later, my so-called friend was going out with that same boy. Cow ;D

I got *obsessed* with Top Gear when I saw the Winter Olympics ep, then with a couple of months free one summer I watched it on Dave and UKTVPeople almost every single day... I had about a month of thinking "ooh that Hammond bloke of Brainiac's kinda cute" but then I just fell in *love* with James. Never looked back As for who knows, well I'm well and truly in the closet to almost everyone - in the shoebox at the bottom of the pile in the closet in the spare room that no-one uses... Worryingly though, people are catching on. I guess it's hard to be subtle about James. They all know I love the cars, and will talk for hours in makes and models names, bhp and 0-60 times, but my dad even seems to have caught on now... and I'm not even at home much these days!! Wouldn't dare tell my friends - I get the rip taken out of me even for defending him... :S

Well, Korrigan, no one will rip into you here We were drawn here by our mutual appreciation of Mr May, and some of us spend a great deal of time on the 'Dark Side' in the Clarkson threads too, which I suppose a lot of people would think is even worse ;D

I must confess that I had a pic of James in the jet engine on my desk at work. When somebody made the comment that I had a "cute" boyfriend, I just smiled. Mea Culpa.
Also I must admit that I've been to the darkside and tried the cookies. Ummmm.
When I went car shopping I asked to see the Caddy CTS. When the salesman asked me who had suggested the car to me, I smiled and said "Jeremy Clarkson". He replied, "Oh has he been to our dealership?" I smiled and said "No he's not local".
I've been trying to keep my obsession with all things Top Gear on the down low, but it's bubbling over. I feel a bit daft having a crush at my age.

I have exited the Obsession hidey hole. My Top Gear Calendar is up in clear view now. Today's screen background is Richard in leather. As Popeye said, I yam what I yam! Thanks fellow afficianados for helping me move into an "open" lifestyle.
