found this on the website "Garmin, the boat carry TV presenter Nick Knowles retired early with mechanical problems".
Don't know if they can fix it for tomorrow.

They've been having problems since the very beginning let's hope they can rejoin the race.

Assuming the boat can continue... "Among those who set off from the Solent on Saturday was TV star Nick Knowles, famous for DIY SOS. Top Gear presenter James May will take part in a later leg." LinkyThe 'will he/won't he' mystery deepens

It must be working, the boats being shown at plymouth now (on the marine tracking) ready for the next leg, must have spent all night repairing it, hope they put their spanners back in the right place afterwards!!!

They're not having much luck so far. They need to get their lucky mascot on board and quick. Hope these winds die down.

It's probably about now that the organisers are remembering why they haven't done this for 24 years!

Maybe they're making a special programme, heavily edited, showing the entire race instead of covering snippets on a daily basis. I can't imagine, with potentially different people joining in different legs like James, that they won't do anything at all on it. You never know, maybe James will be fronting that prog. Or if Nick Knowles is doing the whole thing, him more likely I suppose. This is all just me taking an idea and running with it folks, I know nothing, just trying to look on the bright side!

Richard?? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D I'm not surprised it's not safe for them to be out today. We're about as far inland as you can get and it's ridiculously windy. It must be horrendous at the coast.

Can always rely on the British weather to c*ck things up, hopefully they will all have calm seas for the rest of the race.
