My internet connection has been very slow since last night. It's not just this board. I hope it isn't that Conficker thingy. I did a scan and that said all was fine.

I don't have any problems now, it's all working fine. Well except for my fingers making typos, but I don't think that's anything to do with a virus ;D

I haven't tried jacksgirl, but maybe, as it's a locked thread, only Mods can start a new one?

Oh lordy. Yes Proboard problems. I have been trying to log in for a day! My name shows up as logged in on the board, but I can't get on, I'm still a guest....can't access my PM's, etc. I went to Proboards Support and exactly same thing happened. One thing I read was to log in as "Forever"...something I was loathe to do...but I did and finally I got on the board with access to everything... Ly has also informed me that there are major problems with BT internet. What is going on again! Flamin' internet

I know how it feels to have internet problems, I have just, finally (hopefully) sorted mine out but I was able to access the board OK. Could it maybe have something to do with your settings somewhere? Hope you get sorted soon.

Seems to be running a little bit sluggish here today. It's not my 'net connection (amazingly!) as I have four tabs open, and all the others are running just fine.

What exactly are Advertangel and Rubiconproject, and why are they #*$#ing up my enjoyment? I'm having to wait forever for every page to load, to such an extent that I currently feel like throwing my laptop out of the window! I'll persevere in the hope that things improve, but it's with extremely gritted teeth!

Well they are working on it, can't complain really as I think proboards do, do the best forums and free and normally not too long to sort out....fingers crossed it'll be soon.
Blimey that was quicker, thanks dit for bumping this.

As you've probably noticed proboards have disabled the above ads for the time being, shame as some are quite entertaining ;D

Not sure if this is a JMB or Proboards gernally or my computer problem..... but the JMB has been randomly loggin me out now and again over the last month.... even when I am logged in for "6 hours" time frame and it's only been 10 mins since I logged on...
Any advice please? :-)

Not a problem as such, more a question.
Looking at the list of members/guests who've read or logged in, I note that there's 1 "invisible user".
How does this work? I've always had this vague nervousness that James (or Woman) is able to get on here and read all the thoughts we have about him. In an earlier reply you said that wasn't possible, as the mods know who the members are and no-one isn't accounted for, but what about "invisible users"?

|
Post by Mayfayre on Mar 9, 2010 22:10:07 GMT
Invisible Users are members who don't want their name on the lst of members online, for one reason or another. They still have to be signed up as regular members.

Thanks, Mayfayre. I always get quick answers! Though I can't think why anyone would not want their name of the list of members, as we all use pseudonyms any way.
