Since Wednesday?? That doesn't sound so good. Everybody can get sick, you shouldn't feel guilty for it...

Do be careful with yourself. The stomach flu and fever can be serious. I hope you have someone to help at home for a few days. James can make tea and toast, clean and field calls from work while you rest.

That sounds great but i took a special drink yesterday,it's tea for when you're having flew symptoms, and after that i went to bed. I slept more then 12 hours and i feel so much better today. I'm so glad. I don't feel 100% but much better.

I hope you're feeling better, Melly!
I've had a three-day headache, but it seems to have cut itself a day short. Which is good, I have to travel tomorrow. Maybe Dr May could deliver some Tylenol if it returns!

Do I still have my very own bed reserved here? *flops into it* Thank goodness. I rolled my right ankle a bit working out yesterday. Waited ten minutes, it felt better. So I finished working out, because I am freaking dedicated to this smaller physique I've picked up over the last 2.5 months. Today, leaving a rather large rally, and looking to make sure my very good(and very blind) friend didn't walk into anything, I get absolutely hosed by the uneven sidewalk. My foot went the wrong way, again, and I went down hard. Same foot. It's now wrapped, elevated, and has an icepack on it. It was not okay after ten minutes today. I still had to walk 1.5 miles on it to get back to my car, which was probably just brilliant of me. At least the people who saw it and were nearby stopped to make sure I was okay. I love Madison and the really nice people. I am not so fond of the sidewalk for taking me down like that and then not having the decency to swallow me whole. I'm really hoping it doesn't swell up and turn all shades of purple overnight. It would be just my luck to start my laboratory job on Monday while on crutches. Last time I injured my foot, I thought it was just hurting, but okay the day I had the accident(fell down stairs). Next day...my husband pretty much looked at my multicolored foot, packed me in the car, and took me to the hospital. A bit afraid I may have a repeat, but hoping not. Guess I'll know more later. Tomorrow's plans now involve being a severe couch potato.

Ouch Meim. Have sprained many ankles in my time. Very painful. Hopefully yours is not too bad. *sends virtual ice-packs*

Is there an Infectious Diseases unit? We (all three of us here) need beds please. TOH has been throwing up for 24 hours now. All he's had is water - not a crumb of food, but still he's being sick. Beth has a mighty cough, and so have I. It's been (completely unofficialy) diagnosed as a multiple case of ConFlu (caught while at PonyCon last weekend), as a lot of people who were there appear to be suffering in much the same way. Nice

It's been (completely unofficialy) diagnosed as a multiple case of ConFlu Oh, lovely. And guess what I'm doing this weekend? Going to a Con. And then again first weekend in Nov. Maybe I can build up my con-flu-karma by sending you and your family Virtual Chicken Noodle Soup! I hope you feel better soon! Dr May, please hurry with this soup delivery!

It's really not my week. Or should I say year !!! This morning i fainted again and my back felt like i was in labor :s So my husband called the doctor again. I was so angry because I had to go to work but I couldn't. The doctor came and she called the hospital for a lot of medical examinations because i was having a lot of pain. Now I have gallstones, stomach inflammation and stomach flu. All in ones. Now I must tell, this year i went a lot to the doctor but because I have sensitive intestines she never did anything else then saying that it was nothing more. I'm so glad i had another doctor today. I have to try some medication for my stomach for a month and also something for low blood pressure. The gallstones aren't big enough to remove it but I have to go to the hospital sometimes for check-ups. What a day !!!

Hopefully they've got the correct diagnoses this time. Take care and only eat what you should like chocolate cake, lots of candy etc. Just kidding. Get well soon.

Could Dr. May please come to the great State of Maryland on Friday to do my colonoscopy?

While I have the utmost respect for Dr. May's diverse abilities, I'm thinking this is one time when you might actually want a specially trained doctor performing the procedure.

Could Dr. May please come to the great State of Maryland on Friday to do my colonoscopy? Just make sure you get the appropriate level of anaesthesia! I had one done a few weeks ago and, believe me, that is a position you would NOT want Mr May to see you in! Trained professionals only allowed in that area - honorary doctorates don't really qualify one to wield the apparatus. (Don't worry, it's not as bad as you expect.)

Perhaps Dr. May could do a bit of hand holding. He's definitely qualified to do that. Good luck! ;D

Good luck! ;D I was hoping for just this as I am being readied for the procedure; some soothing words would be just fine! I had this done 5 years ago and did very well, but oooohhhhh, that prep the day before! No, ladies, I would DEFINITELY not want Dr. May to see Dr. Lynnemezzo's bottom.....

Ah yes, that prep. Once experienced, never forgotten!
(Will now drop the subject on the grounds of being in very poor taste!)

Must admit, it would be nice to be slowly coming round from an anaesthetic (the sort that doesn't make you feel sick) to find that a certain Dr May was sitting by the bed, holding your hand and looking gently concerned.
(And I'm not going to say any more as this page has previously come up on a Google search and had the p*ss taken out of it, and I wouldn't want our mild fantasies to be misconstrued or ridiculed!)

Sorry I haven't been around for a while. 2 weeks ago, I had a possible mini-stroke and have been laying low. Today was the brain MRI and then a carotid study. However, I feel fine and have tried to carry on normally as much as possible.

Holy Moly, Lynne!! I hope you're ok and your tests come back with a good prognosis. It's been said that keeping up your regular routine helps in all sorts of situations, health and otherwise. Good luck and let us know how you're doing.
HUGS!!!
